Weekend Update: Week 11
Before I get to the latest news from around the league, I'm going to take a second to talk about a game this week. There probably wasn't a ton of excitement for this game a couple weeks ago, but I'm pretty excited about the Monday night game between the Titans and Texans this week. These are two teams that normally don't get a ton of television time, but have some big-time players impacting fantasy teams.
Chris Johnson is arguably the top fantasy back this season. Matt Schaub has emerged as an elite fantasy quarterback. And Andre Johnson continues to be one of the top receivers in the game. These players are exciting to watch and capable of huge things any given week. Hopefully, they can put on a show Monday. I know I wouldn't sit any of these players in this matchup. All should do well. It should really be a fun game to watch.
Don't count on Falcons running back Michael Turner playing this week. He is listed as doubtful on the Injury Report because of his ankle injury. The Falcons haven't officially ruled him out, but it is highly unlikely he plays. Atlanta could get Jerious Norwood back from his hip injury, though. He has practiced much of the week and likely returns for the first time in several weeks. Norwood should play a backup role to Jason Snelling as the Falcons ease him back into action. Snelling is the back worth using in Atlanta this week.
Just like Turner, Bengals running back Cedric Benson is listed as doubtful on the Injury Report. Benson isn't expected to play. His hip injury just isn't good enough for him to try and give it a go. Bernard Scott should get the start at running back for the Bengals, but Brian Leonard and Larry Johnson should also be in the mix for carries. [Full Story]
