Apologies to Geoff

Your commissioner has been derelict in his duties to start the season. Baseball America (Pontes) last week picked up Domingo German, who was in the minors, and I failed to catch it. As a result, I'm going to make an executive decision to allow him to pick up a replacement for Week 3.

He's decided to take RP Elvis Peguero for $1 and will have the remaining $7 he paid for German refunded.

Sincere apologies from the league office. I'm fairly certain this is the first time something like this has been necessary and I hope it never happens again. Thanks for your patience.

Ouch. Disregard last message. I'll just take my rebate, thank you.

Looking for either some pitching or OF help for right now. Can be creative with deals like maybe you wanna take a shot on an IL'd Eury Perez?

Inquire within....

Fouled-up FAAB

We have a little housekeeping to take care of with the Baseball America (Pontes) roster for Week 2. Geoff only needed to pick up one pitcher last night, but had three different groups and got three different pitchers. So he'll be awarded his top pick, Domingo German, and the other two (Sixto Sanchez and Matt Waldron) will go back into the pool.

Since Dr. HQ (Cederholm) had the backup bid on Sanchez, he has decided to take Sixto for $3 and throw Daniel Hudson back.

Also, I somehow dropped J.D. Davis from Geoff's roster last week when he went to the A's (J.D., not Geoff). So Davis has been re-added and Forrest Wall is back among the free agents.

As a result, Baseball America gets $10 back in FAAB.

Dodgers, Padres players acquired in FAAB

Just to clarify things, players who participated in the Korea Series were eligible to be added this week. And per LABR rules, they must be active for the full week.

So, stats from Ryan Yarbrough, Tyler Wade, Graham Pauley and later Dylan Cease will count from the start of the season. Congratulations to those savvy bidders!

First FAAB results, tweaks

Thanks everyone for a relatively smooth first FAAB run. We didn't have any major snafus, but we did have a coin flip tiebreaker.

-- Congratulations to NBC Sports (Short) for winning the Dylan Cease sweepstakes with a $78 bid. Good luck the rest of the way. Runner up was $75.

-- Creative Sports (Walton) won the coin flip over Colton and the Wolfman for a $2 Eddie Rosario. Cristian Pache goes back in the pool.

-- Derek Carty also sent in a contingency note asking for a max of one hitter and one pitcher, so his bid on Colin Holderman was voided and he received $1 back.

Remember to make sure all players you picked up on waivers go into your active lineups.
