Brian Hoyer May 29 12:20pm ET

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brian Hoyer said organized team activities have helped him realize how comfortable he is in head coach Kyle Shanahan's offensive system from his time with him in Cleveland. "It comes naturally to me," Hoyer said. The 31-year-old veteran put up a career-high 3,326 yards with 12 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 14 games for the Browns working with Shanahan in 2014, so there's optimism for him in San Fran. However, the Niners are in the midst of a rebuild, and Hoyer has limited upside, making him an unattractive fantasy backup.

Eddie Lacy May 29 12:10pm ET

Seattle Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy projects to be the team's workhorse back with around 15 carries per game if he's healthy and in shape. Thomas Rawls is a question mark after battling through injuries last year and putting up a low 3.2 yards per carry. C.J. Prosise, who the coaches love, is Seattle's best pass-catching back and was 17-for-18 for 208 yards and 12.24 yards per catch when targeted last year.'s Sheil Kapadia doesn't think it's a stretch for Prosise to catch 60 passes in 2017. Lacy is the back to target as more of an RB2 with upside here, but Rawls and Prosise can both be valuable in PPR leagues as well.

Terrelle Pryor May 29 12:00pm ET

Washington Redskins cornerback Will Blackmon, quarterback Kirk Cousins and head coach Jay Gruden have all raved about new wide receiver Terrelle Pryor. "I'm really looking forward to trying to get him as many touches as possible and allow him to impact our team in any way he can." Following the departures of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in free agency, Pryor will be Washington's No. 1 receiver and has a realistic chance of exceeding his numbers from last year in Cleveland (77-1,007-4).

Kyle Shanahan May 29 3:53am ET

San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan will also serve as offensive coordinator, but he plans on splitting duties between several assistants. Mike McDaniel will be in charge of the ground game, and Mike LaFleur will oversee the passing attack. Bobby Turner will serve as running backs coach.

Michael Vick May 29 3:43am ET

Retired QB Michael Vick has indicated he would like to sign a one-day contract to retire as an Atlanta Falcon, but he has not spoken with Falcons owner Arthur Blank as of yet.

Marcus Smith May 28 11:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles LB Marcus Smith will be cut, according to beat writer Jimmy Kempski.

Joe Mixon May 28 8:43pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon could serve as the third-down back for the first few games as RB Giovani Bernard (knee) works his way back from knee surgery, according to beat writer Geoff Hobson, and Hobson believes Mixon will be a big part of the running back rotation even when Bernard is healthy.

Jared Abbrederis May 28 8:23pm ET

Detroit Lions WR Jared Abbrederis, WR T.J. Jones and WR Jace Billingsley are all part of a competition for the No. 3 receiver job.

Danny Amendola May 28 2:03pm ET

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola is expected to battle Andrew Hawkins for the sixth and likely final receiver spot in camp, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

Dion Lewis May 28 11:33am ET

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis still has a spot on the club despite the additions of Mike Gillislee and Rex Burkhead this offseason, likely as a kickoff returner and reserve running back who will play 15 to 20 snaps per game, but ESPN's Mike Reiss.

    T Y Hilton May 28 12:43am ET

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton's 5,861 receiving yards through his first five seasons rank in the top 10 in NFL history, but Hilton said he is still focused on improving. 'Leave no stone unturned,' Hilton said. 'I work on everything - footwork, speed work. Just continue to train everything - my hands, eye-hand coordination.'

Coby Fleener May 28 12:23am ET

New Orleans Saints TE Coby Fleener said already understanding the terminology of the offense will be a big advantage in his second season with the Saints. 'So being able to revamp and feel comfortable going out there and not having to worry about what play call is gonna come up is a huge benefit,' Fleener said.

Navorro Bowman May 27 10:23pm ET

San Francisco 49ers LB NaVorro Bowman (Achilles') is back performing at full speed during OTAs, and head coach Kyle Shanahan said Bowman looks like the same player he has watched on tape.

Dante Fowler May 27 8:43pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars DE Dante Fowler is optimistic after a four-sack season in 2016 and two years removed from his ACL surgery that he's ready to take a big step forward in 2017. 'I think it will happen. It was a big learning experience for me last year on and off the field. That was my first year on the field. ? I was able to get in the film room and see the opportunities I missed last year. Learning what to do and what not to do - that was a big thing,' Fowler said.

Ty Montgomery May 27 6:43pm ET

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery admits he was running on instincts for most of last year following his position change from wide receiver, but he feels much more comfortable after a full offseason at his new position. 'I knew where I was supposed to be going, but it was instinct. Now, I know techniques. I know rotations and linebacker positions, and fronts and understanding gap rules and what the defense is supposed to be doing. Now when I get out there, I know my reads and my aiming points and I can just add that to my instincts. I'm excited to do that,' Montgomery said.

Jerick McKinnon May 27 6:23pm ET

Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon trained with former teammate Adrian Peterson in Houston during the offseason and weighs 211 pounds, up from 200 a season ago. McKinnon is reportedly not only stronger, but faster as well. 'I'm just ready to prove myself and show how much better I've got in the offseason,' McKinnon said.

Allen Hurns May 27 3:33pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns said he knows he has to play better than he did in 2016 and has been working to improve during the offseason. Hurns has added some weight but has cut his body fat. He has also worked on improving his change of direction during routes and has been strengthening his legs to help avoid hamstring injuries.

Robert Woods May 27 1:23pm ET

Los Angeles Rams WR Robert Woods is determined to be a 'No. 1 receiver,' according to the Los Angeles Times' Gary Klein.

Fantasy Spin: Woods should get first shot to be the top target in this offense. His stock is rising with his new team.

Josh McCown May 27 1:03pm ET

New York Jets QB Josh McCown is the 'heavy favorite' to be named the starting quarterback even though the team plans on having an open competition, giving McCown, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg an equal amount of practice reps, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Carson Wentz May 27 1:03pm ET

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz is noticeably stronger and appears to be throwing the ball better than he did as a rookie, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane.

Fantasy Spin: Wentz seems setup for a strong sophomore campaign.
