After having a career season in 2011, Gaffney had a hard time even getting on the field last year, catching four passes in three games for the Dolphins. He was eventually released by the Dolphins and even suspended two games by the NFL for unspecified reasons. At age 32, Gaffney is just trying to stay on an NFL roster. Gaffney has just four of 11 seasons with 500-plus yards but is over 870 yards two of the last three years. Gaffney is a speedy receiver with good hands. He does a good job of finding room in tight spaces, making him a solid possession receiver and good fit for the slot.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Gaffney has a chance to rebound from last season but he won't near his numbers of past years. His best days are behind him. We would go with younger, more exciting options at the position.

Free-agent WR Jabar Gaffney (Dolphins) was suspended Thursday, Nov. 22, two games by the NFL. The reason for the suspension is not clear; however, recent two-game suspensions issued by the league have either been for detrimental conduct on the field or for minor drug violations, like marijuana and diuretics.
