Quarterback Rank: #88 Overall: #509
Leftwich had a chance to open the season as starter last year for the Steelers, but hurt his knee in the preseason and wasn't healthy enough to play. He eventually got healthy and played the last game of the season in garbage time, going 5-of-7 for 42 yards. Leftwich was a full-time starter with the Jaguars a few years back, but seems more backup material at this point of his career. He is a serviceable backup because of all his starting experience and track record. Leftwich has a strong arm, but a long delivery, which can make him erratic and hold the ball a little longer than the average quarterback. Leftwich isn't too fast but can make plays with his feet. He challenge for a backup job.

Leftwich was never a great fantasy player even when he was starting (career high in touchdowns is 17). So even if he manages to get some starts in 2011, Leftwich isn't likely to be much help to fantasy teams. |
