Summary

The Broncos started out well defensively but really faded down the stretch. Denver ranked 20th overall (18th against pass, 22nd against run). They had their issues against both the pass and run. The secondary probably is the strength with Champ Bailey remaining a premier cover corner. He'll be joined by Tracy Porter this year, who should improve the coverage in the secondary. The Broncos also have some guys that can get after the quarterback, including Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller. The Broncos had 41 sacks last year, which was above average. They do lack some bulk up front, though, which leads to the team getting pushed around at times when it comes to stopping the run. The special teams aren't too special with Eric Decker and Matt Willis handling the return duties. Both do alright in their roles, but are nothing too special.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
The Broncos have some sack and interception potential, but they won't limit the yards or points too well. Consider them a spot starter in the right matchup. They'll be up and down for fantasy teams.

The Denver Broncos placed DL Ty Warren (triceps) on the Injured Reserve Tuesday, Sept. 11, ending his season. Also, the team waived C C.J. Davis and re-signed QB Caleb Hanie. Hanie's $1 million base salary is no longer guaranteed.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos DT Ty Warren is now scheduled to receive a base salary of $1.25 million this season as part of his restructured contract but has received a $250,000 bonus that is guaranteed even if he does not make the team. Warren could also make an extra $500,000 in incentives this season.

Denver Broncos DL Ty Warren agreed to a renegotiated contract with the team Wednesday, June 6, and participated in the Broncos' organized team activity session. Warren had been sitting out workouts after the team asked him to take a pay cut from his scheduled salary of about $4 million. Terms of his new contract have not been disclosed.

Denver Broncos DL Ty Warren (triceps) has not been participating in the team's voluntary workout program after the team proposed cutting his non-guaranteed 2012 salary from $4 million to the $1-1.5 million range. The team paid Warren $4 million in 2011 even though he didn't play a snap due to a torn triceps.
