Arizona Cardinals LB Gerald Hayes is not expected to return to the team in 2011, according to CBSSports.com. A back injury limited Hayes last season, and then he was replaced in the lineup by LB Daryl Washington because the team wanted more athleticism. Hayes is also due $4.25 million next season.

Arizona Cardinals LB Gerald Hayes (back) may be able to return for the team's Week 7 game, according to Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic. He is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform list but is eligible to begin practicing Monday, Oct. 18. The team may use Hayes as a rotational player initially so they can bring him along slowly.
