Manning continues to play up and down football. He looks like his brother (Peyton) one week and then plays like Tim Rosenbach the next. Manning had nine games with fewer than 200 yards. But he had seven games with two or more touchdowns. As you can see, Manning lacks consistency. He still doesn't make great decisions and looks lost at times. He has a great arm, though, and the intangibles to be a top NFL quarterback. The Giants lost a huge part of their offense in Tiki Barber, so Manning might get even more chances in the passing game. He'll have a lot of pressure on him to succeed this season. It could be a make or break year for Manning.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
You have to think he'll turn the corner one of these days. But we wouldn't risk taking him too high. He was going as high as the first or second round last season. Don't take that chance with him. Manning has a lot of upside as a No. 1 quarterback, but don't jump earlier than the fourth or fifth round on him.
