Running Back Rank: #147 Overall: #650
Jones started last season with Seahawks, but was released after two games. He caught on with the Saints and got some playing time in 10 games. Jones played a big role a few weeks, including two games with 65-plus total yards. His best showing came in the Saints only playoff game, finishing with 120 total yards and two touchdowns. Jones got a lot of playing time in that game because of injury. He failed to score a touchdown during the regular season, but saved his best for the playoffs. For his career, Jones has just one 1,000-yard season. He hasn't topped 700-rushing yards since 2006. At age 30 (turns this before season starts), his days as a starter are over but he can serve a backup role because of his experience and past starting ability. Jones has plus speed and runs with some power, but lacks some burst and vision, which limits him.

Jones hasn't helped fantasy teams much in recent seasons. A sudden jump in numbers isn't expected as he turns the magical age of 30 this offseason. Jones will be lucky to get 500 total yards at this stage of the game. There are a lot more exciting fantasy options out there than Jones. |
