Wide Receiver Rank: #91 Overall: #262
Cotchery fell down the depth chart, serving as the No. 3 receiver for the Jets much of the season. He had 41 receptions, his lowest total since 2005. Cotchery had four straight seasons with 800-plus yards before last season, a year he had less than 500-receiving yards. Cotchery probably is best served in a No. 3 role, though. He has been a top possession receiver in his career. At this point, though, he is far down the depth charts with his new team, the Steelers. He'll likely be the No. 4 or 5 for Pittsburgh this season. Cotchery uses his great size and top hands to make all the tough catches, especially over the middle. Cotchery still has plenty left in the tank at age 29 but has shown some signs of decline of late.

Remember, Cotchery has topped 1,000 yards just once for his career and his career high in touchdowns is six. He'll get come receptions and post decent yardage totals in a reserve role, but his overall fantasy value is pretty limited. He is worth a look a reserve option in PPR leagues, but that might be about it. |
