Free-agent RB Derrick Ward (Texans) announced his retirement Tuesday, July 3, after nine NFL seasons. Ward's best season came in 2008 with the New York Giants when he rushed for 1,025 yards and a 5.6 yards per carry average. He finishes with 2,628 rushing yards and 12 rushing TD in 93 NFL games.
