Running Back Rank: #177 Overall: #759
Parker failed to make the Redskins last season, getting cut before the season started. He didn't catch on with another team. And at age 30, Parker could be about done in the NFL. Parker's stats have been on a steady decline the last several seasons. He had just 389-rushhing yards his last season in the league (2009). Parker still has decent speed, but isn't near of fast as past seasons. He isn't the big-play back of past seasons. He runs with a little power and can be tough to take down in the open field. Parker has never been much of a receiver, limiting his value.

| The Washington Redskins are not concerned with how the carries will be distributed between RBs Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker this season, reports Zach Berman, of The Washington Post. 'That's the least of our concerns right now,' running backs coach Bobby Turner said, when asked about dealing with the personalities of the three running backs. 'We want them competing and we're still installing, meaning we're still putting in our offense. That's the least of my concerns right now. Once we decide who makes the team and you start game-planning, that's a different a deal. But that's so far down the line.' Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan added, 'It's very rare that you have just one back and that one back plays in all 16 games. So to have three backs is going to make all three of them better. It's a matter of time, but all three of them will help us.' |
