Edwards played with the Seahawks and Jets last season, getting little playing time with either team. He had 18 receptions in 13 games in a reserve role for both teams. He didn't top 50 yards in any game last season. Edwards has less than 200 yards each of the last two seasons. His career is trending in the wrong way. He has just one 1,000-yard season during his career but did have 900-plus yards in 2010. He has four of eight seasons with 800-plus yards. Edwards is a big target with good speed and top playmaking ability, making him a top deep threat. He lacks some consistency, though, showing a lack of concentration. Edwards also has a history of drops. He'll challenge for a reserve spot this coming season.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

We don't see Edwards turning it around this season. He could improve his numbers but not enough to be a real help for fantasy teams. He'll be lucky to top 500 yards, making him a bit stretch for fantasy teams.

New York Jets TE Jeff Cumberland had four catches for a team-high 53 yards and a touchdown in the Week 15 game against the Tennessee Titans Monday, Dec. 17. WR Braylon Edwards checked in with 47 yards on three catches to lead the wideouts, the only WR to have more than one reception. WR Jeremy Kerley managed just one catch for 11 yards.
