SUMMARY
Wide Receiver Rank: #49
Overall: #136

It took some time but Williams finally showed his potential last season, which was a huge surprise after not playing a down the previous two seasons. But Williams got a chance with the Seahawks and emerged as the No. 1 target for their passing game. An ankle injury knocked him out of a couple games, but Williams still managed to more than double nearly all his previous career bests. He had three games with double-digit receptions and three 100-yard games. He was a consistent option in the Seahawks' passing attack and should continue to be a mainstay in their offense the next several seasons after inking a contract extension shortly after the season. Williams doesn't have much speed or big-play ability, but can be a top-notch possession receiver. He uses his big frame well to create space and make plays. Williams isn't much of a red-zone option, though, which is a surprise considering his size (four touchdowns in five seasons).
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Williams can improve on his breakout season but shouldn't be considered more than a low-end No. 2 or top No. 3 fantasy receiver. His lack of scores is a concern, but he can get you a lot of receptions and yards. It wouldn't surprise to see Williams have his first 1,000-yard season in 2011.
Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams (ankle, leg) said he is rehabbing his ankle and leg injuries and does not need crutches anymore. Williams indicated he may not be ready for the start of offseason workouts.

Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams (ankle) underwent 'very successful' surgery on his ankle Tuesday, Dec. 20, and expects to return to full health in 'a timely fashion.'
Fantasy Impact: He should be just fine for 2012 but that doesn't mean he'll have a job.

Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams (ankle) suffered a broken ankle in the second half of the Week 15 game against the Chicago Bears.

Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams (shoulder) said Monday, Nov. 28, that he needs to work harder to get back on track, and he wouldn' use his shoulder injury as an excuse why he went without a grab in Week 12. 'I wasn't playing good anyway so I don't think it mattered if I was healthy or not,' Williams said. He dropped two balls before departing.

Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams had two receptions for a team-high 62 yards in Week 11 against the St. Louis Rams. The yardage total actually marked a season best, as his previous high came in Week 9 with 41 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Williams still doesn't get enough consistent work to help fantasy teams.

Seattle Seahawks WR Mike X. Williams (ankle, foot) was seen icing his left foot or ankle after the Week 9 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The injury might affect his availability in practice this week.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said WR Mike X. Williams (hamstring) will receive plenty of playing time in Week 9.
