Fantasy Impact: We aren't sure he'll be retained, but we should know sometime next week.

Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini has received vocal support from players who want him to remain as head coach, according to Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. 'Yeah, he has all the intangibles,' CB Sheldon Brown said. 'He learned from one of the best (Bill Belichick). Obviously he knows the plan. It's not his fault when we give up touchdown passes, throw interceptions and fumble.' FB Lawrence Vickers said the players are not only playing for each other, but for Mangini. 'We want to keep fighting for our coach,' Vickers said. 'That's the type of coach that he is, and that's how we've kept playing. Hey, he coached us to finish, and that's what we're trying to do. I want to walk out of here with my head held high and I know the other guys do, too.'
Fantasy Impact: This is nice and all, but doesn't guarantee anything for Mangini, who is likely to get fired after this season.

Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini said the trade of LB Kamerion Wimbley to the Oakland Raiders for a third-round draft pick was partly done to create an opportunity for another trade. 'It's not that we didn't like Kam or didn't think he was doing good things,' Mangini said. 'It's just that having that pick (No. 75 overall) allows us to have just some more versatility. It's difficult to part with a character guy (like Wimbley). I really like Kam. I really do. It wasn't a function of wanting to move him. It was more of a function of where do we have depth? Where can we trade to give us some more ability to address other areas?' The Browns now own five selections in the first 87 picks in the NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact: This is kind of a surprise and probably not the best news for fantasy owners. Mangini sure runs a bland offense.
