Quarterback Rank: #86 Overall: #485
Kurt Warner finally retired, leaving Leinart as the starter in Arizona. All was perfect for Leinart heading into 2010, right? Well, things didn't go as planned. Leinart failed to win the job during the preseason and was released by the Cardinals before the start of the season. He signed with the Texans and served as their No. 3, failing to get in a game all season. Needless to say, Leinart has some work to do to make an impact in the NFL once again. He has never seized his chances, having 20 interceptions to 14 touchdown passes. His reads are slow and he makes poor decisions when under pressure. Leinart is an accurate quarterback, but his indecision is his major drawback. Until he proves he can handle the speed of the NFL, Leinart will remain a backup. The Texans re-signed him this offseason, likely making him their top backup this year.

Don't bother with Leinart. Even if he starts some games, he hasn't shown enough in the past to be a help to fantasy teams. He is running out of time in the NFL. |

| The Houston Texans have agreed to terms with free-agent QB Matt Leinart (Texans). Terms of the contract were not disclosed. |
| Fantasy Impact: This is a surprise as Leinart has no chance to start in Houston. Guess he didn't think his chances were good in Washington or Seattle, either. He was the No. 3 last season in Houston but should be given first crack at the top backup job this year. |
