Wide Receiver Rank: #51 Overall: #140
Hester got a little less playing time at receiver last season, mainly because the Bears wanted to keep him fresh for his return duties. The move paid off as Hester returned three punts for touchdowns and was dominate on special teams. Hester still got some work in the passing game, catching 40 passes. He has three straight seasons with 40 or more receptions. Hester had fewer than 500-receiving yards, which was his lowest total in a few seasons. In his last three seasons, Hester averages 49 receptions for 632 yards and three touchdowns. The Bears should use Hester similar to last season, letting him serve as the No. 3 or 4 receiver most games. Hester is a big-play threat with the ball in his hands. He has electric moves and top speed. He has made strides as a receiver, but his biggest strength remains as a return man. He is a difference maker on special teams.

Hester saw a dip in production, which was expected with a little less playing time. He gets enough work to be worth a spot start or two as a No. 4 or 5 receiver but that is about it. He could get 45 receptions for 500 or so yards and a few scores. |
