Gostkowski wasn't as accurate as hoped, but had a fine rookie season and finished very strong, giving the Patriots hope he can be an elite option at kicker. Gostkowski made all of his kicks during the playoffs, scoring double-digit points in three games while going 8-for-8. This is the reason the Patriots used a high draft pick on him last season. Gostkowski has a booming leg, but struggles with accuracy at times. But with a season under his belt, expect his accuracy to improve. And he plays in an offense that should give him plenty of work.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Gostkowski can be a top kicker this season. He can make the long-distance kick and score 100-plus points without a problem. Expect a breakout season.

Douglas Flynn, of The Milford Daily News, reports the New England Patriots could select a place kicker during the second day of the NFL Draft. Wisconsin PK Taylor Mehlhaff and Louisville PK Art Carmody could be possible selections. However, any fresh legs brought into camp will likely be present just to push Gostkowski.
Fantasy Impact: Not exactly a vote of confidence. You'll want to keep an eye on this situation in training camp.
