Palmer was the top backup in Cincy last season and actually got in a game, completing 3-of-3 passes for 18 yards. He has played in a handful of games in three seasons in the NFL. Palmer is making some progress as an NFL player, but seems more suited as a No. 3 than No. 2 at this stage of the game. Palmer is probably best known for being Carson Palmer's brother. Palmer has the size and arm to be an NFL quarterback, but lacks accuracy and solid decision making skills.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Palmer remains in the shadow of his brother, who is a much better NFL player. Don't expect Palmer to take a sudden leap this season. He is a reach for fantasy teams.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed free-agent QB Jordan Palmer (Bengals) and DT Odrick Ray (Jaguars). The team also signed undrafted free-agent WR Mike X. Brown (Liberty), LB Donovan Richard (South Carolina State) and S Jeremiah Brown (Wagner). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
