SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #16
Overall: #24

Jones played a full season for just the first time in his career, serving as the lead back for the Cowboys most weeks. He set career highs in nearly every offensive category, including 1,250 total yards. The Cowboys were pass-first offensively, but Jones had double-digit carries 11 games. He had just one 100-yard game and ran for 70-plus yards five times. He got consistent work, but his numbers weren't off the charts. The biggest positives were Jones showed he could handle the workload and play a full season. Jones should remain the lead back in Dallas, but likely share carries and lose a lot of the goal-line work, which was the case last season (one rushing touchdown). Jones is a home-run threat every time he touches the ball and is as fast as any back in the game. Jones isn't the biggest back, though, which lends him to getting nicked up from time to time. He is a plus receiver, catching an impressive 48 passes last season, which gets him in the field in key passing downs.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
His touchdown potential hurts his fantasy value, but you have to be encouraged by last season. He has a lot of total yardage potential. A season with 1,500 total yards and seven or so scores seem realistic for Jones. He can be a solid No. 2 back for fantasy teams, playing in a good Cowboys offense.
The Dallas Cowboys may look into the possibility of trading RB Felix Jones this offseason because they do not trust him to become a 20-carry a game running back.

Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones fumbled five times in 160 touches this season but the team was able to recover three of the fumbles. RB DeMarco Murray fumbled only once in 190 touches.
Fantasy Impact: Another reason Murray should be the top back for the Cowboys in 2012.

Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring) carried 11 times for just 30 yards in Week 17 against the New York Giants, and he added seven receptions for 47 yards. RB Sammy Morris had three carries for 16 yards, and QB Tony Romo added three yards on two runs.
Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring) said Friday, Dec. 30, that he feels good heading into Week 17 against the New York Giants. 'I'm feeling good,' Jones said. If Jones isn't able to go, or is limited, the bulk of the carries would go to RB Sammy Morris. However, with a playoff berth on the line against the Giants, Jones is expected to play.
Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Fantasy Impact: Jones should be active again but it isn't certain how much work he'll get in the game.

Fantasy Impact: Jones should play Week 17 but likely won't handle a full load.

Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Fantasy Impact: Jones should get more action this week. He is getting healthier.

The Dallas Cowboys played it safe with RB Felix Jones (hamstring) in Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles when they realized that the game didn't have any bearing on the NFC East title. He ran for 24 yards on four carries, and Dallas pulled him from the game to avoid any setbacks. Jones looked sharp and showed his usual burst in his limited time. The team expects him to play unlimited in the team's Week 17 showdown versus the New York Giants.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said the team is hopeful RB Felix Jones (hamstring) will be able to practice Wednesday, Dec. 28.
Fantasy Impact: Jones should play a bigger role the last game of the season. He is getting healthier.

Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring) carried four times for 24 yards in Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was taken out after a few snaps in the first half, but made it through the game without any setbacks. 'Felix was getting himself ready all week to try and play in this game,' head coach Jason Garrett said Sunday, Dec. 24. 'He didn't practice the whole week. He did more stuff (Friday) to get himself ready and warmed up well before the game. That was going to be a situation we were going to monitor based on what was happening up in New York. If he was ready to go and play we were going try and give him a go.'
Fantasy Impact: Jones should be just fine for Week 17.
