The only good news from the injury was he suffered it early enough that he should be about 100 percent for the start of training camp. He had plenty of time to get ready for the start of this season. Avery averaged 50 receptions his first two seasons in the league. He has yet to top 700-receiving yards, but the Rams offense is a different unit than his first two seasons in the league. Avery will challenge for a starting job in the Rams new offense, which should be pass-friendly in 2011. Avery has struggled with consistency since joining the league, battling drops and poor route running. Avery has a lot of talent, though. He is a big-play threat with a lot of speed. He does a good job of making plays in space. FANTASY OUTLOOK Avery is a good buy-low candidate. He has the ability to do good things, especially in this offense. He could start to blossom if given the playing time. You can probably get him as a No. 4 or 5 receiver. He has the potential to get 800 or so yards and five scores if getting consistent playing time in the Rams' offense.
