SUMMARY
The Chiefs are strong against the pass but struggle against run. They ranked 28th against the rush and lost arguably their best lineman in Jared Allen. So their defense could struggle again against the run. The pass defense remains solid, though (ranked fifth last season). Patrick Surtain is a solid cover corner, and Bernard Pollard is an above-average safety. The linebackers anchor the defense, though. Derrick Johnson, Napoleon Harris and Donne Edwards are solid playmakers. They all have 100-tackle potential and can also get after the quarterback on occasion. B.J. Sams is expected to take over the return duties for the Chiefs. Sams is a solid special teams player with some big-play ability.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
The Chiefs aren't an every-week fantasy starter, but could be a decent platoon unit. Their sack total will take a hit with Allen gone, but the linebackers are playmaker capable of producing good fantasy numbers. You might want to consider platooning this group on your fantasy team.

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced they have agreed to terms with free-agent DL Andy Studebaker (Eagles) on a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports the Philadelphia Eagles would like to keep LB Andy Studebaker on their final roster, but they may not have room for him.
