SUMMARY
Wide Receiver Rank: #162
Overall: #511

Butler got the most work of his career last season and performed alright in his increased role, catching 36 passes in 13 games. He scored four touchdowns and finished with just fewer than 400 yards. Butler had just three games with 50 or more yards and his season high for yardage was 68, which was his last game of the season. Butler had his season cut short because of a broken leg. The Seahawks aren't too deep at receiver, so Butler has a chance to grab some playing time. He seems a better fit as a No. 3 or 4 receiver, though, than as a starter. Butler is a small, speedy receiver. He is pretty dynamic with the ball in his hands. He has plus speed and solid hands. His lack of size hurts him some, though, as he has a tough time getting off the line and isn't much of a deep threat. He is more of a possession receiver than anything.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Butler has some value in PPR leagues, but don't expect his numbers to be off the charts after two mediocre seasons. He could get around 45 receptions or so, giving him marginal overall value.
Seattle Seahawks WR Deon Butler (leg) will be active for the first time this season in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday, Dec. 1. Butler hasn't played since suffering a broken leg in Week 14 last year against the San Francisco 49ers.

Seattle Seahawks WR Deon Butler (leg) is on the Reserve Physically-Unable-to-Perform list and will miss the first six weeks of the season.
Fantasy Impact: Butler has a ways to go to make an impact this season. Don't expect much.

Seattle Seahawks WR Deon Butler (leg) has been able to run and cut as he makes his recovery from a significant leg injury last season. Butler's status entering training camp is a question. He said he is able to run shorter routes at game speed, but said he hasn't been able to do the same for longer routes so far. He feels it may be another month before he is at game speed.

Seattle Seahawks WR Deon Butler (leg) appears to be healed from the broken leg he suffered in December and has been able to run some routes recently. Butler indicated that he is probably not at the speed he was before the injury.
