Summary

The Titans had a mediocre showing defensively last season, ranking 18th overall. Tennessee was about the same when it came to fantasy points, coming in at 19th in fantasy points. Their pass defense was more of a strength than rush defense but that unit lost Cortland Finnegan, who was their top cover corner. He'll be missed. But even with that said, the pass defense should be able to produce similar numbers, mostly because of an improved pass rush with Kamerion Wimbley helping at defensive end. And Derrick Morgan should be better at the other defensive end spot, providing some good pressure on the quarterback. Marc Mariani was a surprise find on special teams last season. He did well in the return game and should provide a spark once again in this area for the Titans.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
The Titans look to be about the same defensively this season, so count on them to be a spot starter for fantasy teams. Their return game has a little upside and the sack totals should be better, but they don't turn the ball over a ton and could allow some high yardage and point totals on occasion.

Tennessee Titans LB Colin McCarthy (concussion) and DE Scott Solomon (knee) both were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 21, and are questionable for Week 16. CB Ryan Mouton (hamstring) did not participate in practice and is questionable. WR Damian Williams (hamstring) fully practiced and is questionable.

Mouton might need to be rested during the Week 16 game, while Solomon will likely see some practice time in the next couple of days before a final decision is made on his status.

Tennessee Titans CB Ryan Mouton (Achilles') is working out, and doing well in individual drills during organized team activities (OTAs). 'He came out this past week and he's doing a good job in individuals,' defensive coordinator Jerry Gray said. 'He's turning. He's a little rusty on the technique, but as far as quickness, you can see that. He has some quickness.'

Tennessee Titans CB Ryan Mouton (Achilles') said he has been running for the last five weeks and has begun working on change of direction while running. He is expected to take part in some of the offseason workouts if he does not have any setbacks and expects to be fully healthy for training camp. General manager Ruston Webster indicated Mouton will be a candidate for the nickel back job.
