Tight End Rank: #72 Overall: #461
Nelson's season didn't go as expected last year, getting suspended the first four games for violating the league's policy and program for substances abuse. And upon returning, he battled a groin injury and migraine issues, limiting him to just five games all season. He caught three passes for 25 yards, giving him 20 receptions in two NFL seasons. Nelson still has some upside and could emerge as the Bills' starting tight end, but needs to start turning the corner this season. Nelson is a solid pass-catching tight end. He is a big target (6-5) with plus speed and solid athleticism. Nelson isn't a top blocker, but showing some improvement in that area since entering the league.

Nelson is a wild card. He certainly is the most talented tight end on the Bills' roster but nothing is guaranteed with him this season. If he gets the chances, Nelson can catch 40 passes for 500 yards and a three or so touchdowns. He has some late value as a low-end No. 2 or No. 3 tight end for fantasy teams. |
