Summary

Wide Receiver Rank: #70All Players: #204
Roberts saw his numbers dip a bit last season with the Cardinals going with younger options at the receiver spot. He still caught 43 passes but his yardage total was his lowest since his rookie season. He didn't even crack 500 yards for the season. Roberts gets a fresh start with the Redskins this season, though. He will be the No. 3 receiver for the Redskins. Roberts runs above-average routes, has good speed and can make plays after the catch. He isn't a huge receiver, which makes him a good fit for the slot more so than as a starter.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Roberts doesn't see much of a change in value with his move to the Redskins. He could still be a decent spot starter for fantasy teams, though. We expect around 50 receptions for 650 yards and five touchdowns.

comments about Andre Roberts

Notes

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III and WR Andre Roberts are displaying good chemistry in practice Friday, July 25.

Washington Redskins WR Andre Roberts has admitted since the signing of WR DeSean Jackson that he might have opted to go elsewhere had he known Jackson would be signed. However, Roberts might be one of the biggest benefactors of having WRs Pierre Garcon and Jackson, as well as TE Jordan Reed, in the offense.
Washington Redskins WR Andre Roberts has come to terms with being No. 3 on the depth chart. Roberts said he may have gone in a different direction during free agency if he knew WR DeSean Jackson was going to sign, but plans to make the best of the situation.
Fantasy Impact: Roberts can still be productive in this role but not nearly as productive as if he was a starter.
Washington Redskins WR Andre Roberts wants to serve as a return man for both punts and kickoffs. "I feel like I'm one of those players who when he gets the ball in his hands he can make some big plays," said Roberts. "That's what I want to bring to this team as well, not just as a receiver but also on special teams."

The Washington Redskins may consider using WR Andre Roberts as a kick and punt returner this upcoming season, but he did not have great numbers when handled the role with the Arizona Cardinals.

Washington Redskins WR Andre Roberts said he believed he would be the No. 2 receiver in 2014 but that was before the team added WR DeSean Jackson. Roberts said he does not know what his role will be this upcoming season. 'That's how the league is, that's how the league works,' Roberts said. 'Going into my situation, I wanted to be the No. 2 receiver. But I still don't how it's going to work out. Obviously, when you look at how much money is being made each guy, you'd think that's going to be [the] No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3."

Washington Redskins WR Andre Roberts said he would be willing to return punts and kicks for the team but does not know if the team will ask him to handle that role.

Updating a previous report, the Washington Redskins and WR Andre Roberts agreed to a four-year, $16 million deal Tuesday, March 11, including $8 million in guaranteed money. The first year of his salary is for $1.25 million in fully guaranteed money.

The Washington Redskins agreed with free-agent WR Andre Roberts (Cardinals) on a four-year, $16 million deal with $8 million guaranteed.
Fantasy Impact: This is an upgrade at receiver for the Redskins. He'll likely be the No .3 for the team.

Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent WR Andre Roberts is not expected to be back, as the team will likely pursue a cheaper option. Roberts is certain to test the open market so he can find a bigger role than he had in Arizona. His role was dramatically reduced in head coach Bruce Arians' tight-end-heavy offense.
