Fantasy Impact: This isn't a surprise. He could emerge as a starter before long in this offense.

Denver Broncos TE Julius Thomas (ankle) had surgery to repair ligaments this past week. The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson, a noted ankle and foot specialist. Thomas will be limited to work with the team's training and medical staff as the team goes through their offseason conditioning and team workouts over the next two months.

The Denver Broncos still believe in TE Julius Thomas but he will have to compete for playing time after the team added TEs Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen this offseason. Thomas was never able to get rid of an ankle he suffered during the early part of the 2011 season.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas has some talent but needs to really show improvement if he hopes to find the field this season.
