Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor said he is more than ready to compete for the team's starting quarterback job; however, he first wants to gain the respect of his teammates and the coaching staff. 'Right now I'm trying to win over my coaches, win over my teammates and everybody in the facility and let them know that I wanna be a leader, a great leader, and I'm there for the long haul, and I wanna win just as bad as everybody else,' Pryor said. 'And that's what I want to prove to everybody before I really get into talks of starting and stuff like that.'

Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson said it will be important to see what QB Terrelle Pryor can do during offseason workouts and minicamps to get a better sense of what the team has at the quarterback position. The Raiders want to know whether Pryor can do for them what San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick did this past season. 'If you have a guy that can stay there and play 65 plays a game and do those things and also be able to throw the ball from point A to point B accurately, if he possesses those skills as well, then you certainly have something,' Olson said. 'So that's what we'll have to find out with Terrelle Pryor. We know what kind of an athlete he is. We need to find out what kind of decision maker he is, and we need to find out if he's a guy that can also sit in the pocket and deliver the ball from point A to point B accurately and on time and making the right decisions.'

Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor, who will start in Week 17, said he guarantees he will have no problems with the logistics of quarterback - calling the play in the huddle, getting to the line of scrimmage on time and recognizing defenses. 'I'm confident,' Pryor said. 'I'm sure my teammates have confidence in me as well. Like I said, you can't put everything on my shoulders, can't try to do everything. Just go out and let the players make plays and let myself make plays.'

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen expects the offensive game plan to be scaled back some with QB Terrelle Pryor starting against the San Diego Chargers in Week 17. 'I don't think you're going to be the same with either quarterback as you would with Carson because Carson's been getting all the reps and he has the full command of the offense,' Allen said. 'So, yeah, I would think we'd be scaled back a little bit with either one of those quarterbacks.'
