A knee injury knock Jeffery out of some action his rookie but he wasn't a huge factor even in the 10 games he was active. He did top 50 yards three games but his season high in yards was 80. He didn't make a ton of big plays but did finish the season well, which was encouraging going forward. He had 50-plus yards two of the last four games. Jeffery is expected to get first shot at the starting job opposite Brandon Marshall. Jeffery is an athletic player with good leaping ability. He has the ability to be a top red-zone threat for the Bears. His route running needs work, though, and he lacks some speed. Jeffery needs to use size and athleticism to get open more than his speed.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Jeffery still isn't a polished product but making strides. He has a chance to take a big leap forward his second season. Marshall is the main target for the Bears but Jeffery can be second in targets this year, giving him some upside. He could get around 60 receptions for 750 yards and five touchdowns.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery accepted an invitation to train with WR Brandon Marshall in South Florida at Fit Speed Athletic Performance, a training facility co-founded by Marshall and his longtime trainer. 'I just wanted to learn from someone different and do thing different,' Jeffery said Sunday, April 21. 'Plus, he's a Pro Bowl player. I want to see what it takes.' When he arrived at Fit Speed, Jeffery weighed in at 225 pounds with a body fat percentage of 11 or 12 percent. When he checked out a few weeks ago, Jeffery weighed 219 pounds with eight percent body fat.

The Chicago Bears coaching staff is concerned WR Alshon Jeffery's play could be affected by three offensive pass interference penalties in Week 15. The team does not want Jeffery to change the way he plays. 'The thing I'm trying to make sure of is that it doesn't destroy him from a mental standpoint,' said receivers coach Darryl Drake. 'He's fragile right now but that's part of it ... Are you going to sit back and sulk or are you going to do something about it? You've still got to play the game physical so you can't give in on that. You have to turn it into something positive.'
