Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said he wants quarterback QB Tony Romo engaged and involved in communicating between the coaches and the players. 'The thing that we want from our quarterbacks is we want them to be engaged and involved,' Garrett said. 'Tony has always been that. Communication between all of our players and coaching staff is critical. It's certainly critical with that position."

The Cowboys were tied for 29th overall in the NFL with 16 takeaways, including being tied for last in the league with seven interceptions. The Chicago Bears led the NFL with 44 takeaways. 'We had 16. That's 28 more opportunities with the ball,' Garrett said. 'Give me some of those 28 opportunities. That's something that we really sat back and thought a lot about, had a lot of discussions about - what's the best way to try to achieve that, and then, 'OK, you want to do that, now who are the guys who can help implement that?''

The team has already let go defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and running backs coach Skip Peete. 'We spend a certain amount of time between now and training camp,' Jones said.
