Quarterback Rank: #132 Overall: #764
It is hard to believe, but Favre likely had his best season as a pro last year at age 40. He threw just seven interceptions, which was the lowest total of his career as a starter. It was the first time he didn't have double-digit interceptions as a full-time starter. He also had 33 touchdown passes, his highest total since 1997. He completed 68 percent of his passes, which was a career high. In fact, Favre has gotten better with age in terms of accuracy, having his best completion rates each of the last three seasons. Favre also broke the 4,000-yard mark for the sixth time in his career. He did have offseason ankle surgery, though, which is a bit of a concern since he had surgery on that same ankle before. Favre hasn't shown much signs of age the last few seasons, but it has to catch up to him sooner or later, right? The Vikings do have a top offensive line, which is a big plus for Favre. He shouldn't get too beat up throwing behind this group. Plus, the running game takes a lot of pressure off Favre. The Vikings are a run-first team, but showed last season they aren't afraid to throw the ball and take chances downfield. Favre still makes some bad throws (see the playoffs last year) but will complete some passes that others won't. His arm remains strong and his accuracy seems to be at an all-time high for him.

We aren't betting against Favre. It would be a shock to see him repeat last season, but he can throw for nearly 4,000 yards and 30 scores in this offseason. He is a low-end No. 1 for fantasy teams. |
