Notes
Free-agent WR Terrell Owens was asked on NFL Network show 'NFL AM' whether he's heard from an NFL team since his release from the Seattle Seahawks in training camp last year. 'Nothing as of right now,' he said. 'So I understand the process. Obviously teams are really taking a closer look in evaluating their younger players. Being a free agent, I understand that later in the months as training camp starts, they'll start looking for veterans.' Owens relayed that he'd best fit a team that runs a West Coast offense, like the Minnesota Vikings or Kansas City Chiefs. He has a good relationship with Vikings wide receivers coach George Stewart, and he played for Chiefs head coach Andy Reid when Reid coached the Philadelphia Eagles. Owens also suggested that teams aren't pursuing him as punishment for his past behavior. 'It's all politics,' he said. 'I think a lot of it has to do with my reputation, things that I've done early in my career. ...'

Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Seahawks) said the fact that the New York Jets are using CB Antonio Cromartie at wide receiver shows that they're desperate, and they need an experienced receiver like him. 'I've read a lot of tweets and everybody's saying that I'm desperate, I'm begging for a job,' Owens said. 'But it's not begging for a job when you know you can still play at a high level, given the opportunity. When you have a defensive back playing offense and running routes, then I think that's more desperate than my actual tweet itself.' According to Owens, teams are showing no interest because there's still a perception that he'd be a distraction in the locker room.

Seattle Seahawks WR Terrell Owens simply has not shown enough this preseason to believe he will make the final roster. Owens caught two passes for 41 yards Friday, Aug. 24, but he didn't fight for one ball thrown to him deep down the sideline. He also dropped another pass on a play that was erased by an unrelated penalty.
Fantasy Impact: He continues to drop passes, which is likely going to cost him a chance for a comeback.
