Quarterback Rank: #158 Overall: #958
Warner got a chance to start from day one for the Cardinals and had an MVP-type season. He looked like the Warner from the '99 Rams, throwing for 4,583 yards and 30 touchdowns. His yardage total was the second highest of his career. For his career, Warner completes 65 percent of his passes and has 20-plus touchdown passes in five seasons. Warner doesn't have a huge arm anymore, but is very accurate and extremely smart. He does have a tendency to hold onto the ball too long, though, which can led to fumbles. And his age (38) is a concern although he doesn't have a ton of wear and tear on him starting off and on throughout his career. Warner did have surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip during the offseason.

Warner moves back into the elite category of fantasy quarterbacks. Don't count on him repeating last season's huge numbers, but another season with 4,000 yards and around 25 touchdowns is certainly possible, making Warner a good pick in the early rounds of your draft. |

'I'm still optimistic that they're going to find a way to make sure there's football,' Warner said. 'The players have too much to lose. And as much as I hate to say it, at some point, the players have to give in. And, hopefully, they can gain some other things on their side.' |

| Andrew Brandt, of the National Football Post, reports the Arizona Cardinals have the legal right to collect $7.5 million from QB Kurt Warner due to his skipping out on half of the contract for which he was paid a $15 million signing bonus after announcing his retirement. As per the contract, $7.5 million of the $15 million bonus is scheduled to be paid out in equal installments throughout the 2010 season. The language of the contract allows for the Cardinals to not make those installments if Warner is not on the roster in 2010, meaning he will not receive those weekly installments of the $7.5 million. |
