The Associated Press reports former NFL RB Troy Hambrick was sentenced to five years in prison for selling crack cocaine. Hambrick pleaded guilty Feb. 26 to one count of distributing 50 grams or more of cocaine.

The Associated Press reports former NFL RB Troy Hambrick has been sentenced to five years in prison for selling crack cocaine. Hambrick was sentenced Tuesday, May 13, by U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday. Hambrick pleaded guilty Feb. 26 to one count of distributing 50 grams or more of crack cocaine.

The St. Petersburg Times reports the State Attorney's Office has dropped a charge of domestic battery against former NFL RB Troy Hambrick. He was arrested on the misdemeanor charge after authorities say he choked and scratched his wife, Tyrhonda Deshane Grant, after a Sept. 29 dispute in Lacoochee. His wife has refused to cooperate with investigators, authorities say, leaving them with no case and little choice but to drop the charges.

Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports the Philadelphia Eagles may have some interest in signing free agent RB Troy Hambrick (Cardinals), recently released by the Arizona Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact: It makes sense for the Eagles because they are looking for some running back help. Hambrick wouldn't be a bad addition.
