SUMMARY
Tight End Rank: #6
Overall: #80

Heap had another healthy season, which meant good production. And having Steve McNair throwing him the ball didn't hurt matters. Heap has really come on the last two seasons, averaging 74 receptions for 810 yards and seven touchdowns. As long as he is healthy, Heap is among the elite tight ends in the game. Heap is the complete package at tight end. He is fast, athletic and a huge target (6-5). And the Ravens passing attack is getting better with McNair at the helm, which will only help Heap's numbers.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
His consistency the last two seasons is a huge plus. He is a solid No. 1 tight end that gets undervalued at times. He can be a steal in the mid-rounds of drafts, producing numbers nearly as good as Tony Gonzalez and Jeremy Shockey, who tend to go much higher than Heap.

Aaron Wilson, of the Carroll County Times, reports Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap restructured his contract Wednesday, Feb. 13, to help the team gain salary cap relief. Heap was scheduled to make $3 million next season, but will now make $730,000 and will receive $2.27 million in a form of a bonus over the course of his contract. The restructuring frees up around $1,702,500 in cap space.

Mike Preston, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap (hamstring) has already begun offseason workouts in Baltimore. "I was so frustrated after this past year trying to get on the field, but my hamstring wouldn't allow it. The biggest thing right now is to get it right through offseason preparation," Heap said. He is confident he will be able to return to the field in 2008 at 100 percent and be ready to go. "After my two worst injuries, including the high ankle sprain in 2001, I came back to have my two best seasons."
