Baltimore Ravens DL Ma'ake Kemoeatu started at nose guard in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals Monday, Sept. 10, having edged out former second-round draft pick DL Terrence Cody during training camp and the preseason. 'It feels great, especially to be back with the level of defense that Baltimore is,' Kemoeatu said. He was out of football last year due to injury and weight issues.

Baltimore Ravens DT Ma'ake Kemoeatu has dropped 70 pounds over the last year in hopes of earning a final roster spot. 'Coach Harbaugh has always talked about making sacrifices. I had to do what I had to do to make sacrifices to get on the team,' Kemoeatu said. 'I still have a long road ahead of me to make the team and it's going to take more sacrifices, coming in early in the morning and getting an extra workout in here and there, get a little quicker and faster. I have to sacrifice the next four weeks to make the team.'
