2015 DRAFT GUIDE
Team Grade:
Green Bay Packers
Quarterbacks: Running Backs:
Wide Receivers: Tight Ends:
Defense: Kickers:

Outlook

The Packers are one of the best teams in all of football. The offense just keeps churning along while the defense is getting better and better. Green Bay is maybe the most complete team in the NFC right now, making them a legit contender for a Super Bowl run. As long as Aaron Rodgers is heathy, this team is going to win a lot of games and make some noise in the NFC.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Many thought receiver Davante Adams was going to have a breakout season last year but that didnā??t come to fruition. We still like his chances to get things going in this offense and become a star at receiver. Adams is a big-play threat with the ball in his hands. Look for the Packers to use him more this year. Remember, they have produced many productive No. 3 receivers, so Adams can get his targets despite playing with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb.
FANTASY DUD
Tight end Andrew Quarless is the starting tight end for the Packers but has a small grip on the job. He has some youngsters pushing him for playing time. It only seems a matter of time before he falls down the depth chart for the Packers. He has produced some decent numbers in a starting role but nothing off the charts. Expect those numbers to dip even more this season with younger options eating into his playing time.

Team Notes

Jul 01, 05:03 PM Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers could see more playing time in 2015, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. Rodgers played 528 snaps, while fellow TE Andrew Quarless played 695 snaps. Demovsky said he wouldn't be surprised if those numbers reversed this season.

Fantasy Impact: Rodgers is the best tight end to use in this offense. He should see a nice jump in targets this year.
Jun 18, 06:42 PM Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and any Packer with at least six years of experience were excused early from practice Thursday, June 18. Head coach Mike McCarthy said he was pleased with the output they had given and that those who were excused early were still involved with the strength and conditioning and meetings portions of practice.
Jun 16, 10:33 PM Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams has received significant praise from head coach Mike McCarthy and teammates for his development. 'I think Davante has done a great job in the strength and conditioning. He's been really, really good in practice throughout this deal. Davante, if you wanted me to pick an MVP or an all-star, he would definitely be atop the list,' McCarthy noted.

Fantasy Impact: Adams has a chance for a breakout season. He seems to be making big strides this offseason.
Jun 16, 10:23 PM Green Bay Packers TE Richard Rodgers has progressed and taken a natural step forward, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. 'You look at the way he performed Week 1 compared to how he performed the last stretch of the season. Now you have a chance to go back and look at all the video, it's a lot more natural for him. He's not thinking about what he's doing, he's obviously focusing more on his technique and fundamentals and his awareness of what the defense is doing.'
Jun 16, 08:43 PM Green Bay Packers QB Matt Blanchard has looked well ahead of rookie QB Brett Hundley in the competition for the team's No. 3 quarterback job. 'Matt Blanchard had a heck of a day today,' Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday, June 16. 'I'll just tell you what I told him when I met him in April [at his workout]. I said, 'Why the hell don't you have a job?'' It's not guaranteed the Packers even keep a third quarterback out of training camp, but if they do Hundley may be the one they end up choosing based on his potential as a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Jun 16, 02:43 PM Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless has made strides this offseason, according to QB Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers said he thought something clicked for Quarless late last season and he's ready to take the next step.
Jun 16, 12:12 PM Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hip) is practicing Tuesday, June 16. The receivers are working in groups of three working on route concepts.
Jun 14, 08:32 AM Green Bay Packers WR Jeff Janis has been working with the No. 1 offense while WR Jordy Nelson (hip) remains sidelined following hip surgery. Janis has been trying to build chemistry with QB Aaron Rodgers, which is a must for Janis to gain the trust of Rodgers and his coaches. 'It's a lot different going with Aaron because he's on a whole other level, but I'm just trying to take advantage of all the reps that I get and try to make plays whenever he comes my way,' Janis said.
Jun 11, 11:52 PM Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams was praised by QB Aaron Rodgers for his athleticism, and Rodgers said Adams has 'humungous upside.'

Jun 10, 05:53 PM Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hip) practiced Wednesday, June 10, for the first time since undergoing hip surgery earlier this offseason. Nelson participated in individual drills during organized team activities. After practice, Nelson said he's right where he wants to be in the recovery process and that he'll be ready for training camp July 30.
Jun 10, 05:23 PM Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb said the pressure he's felt in the past has been released since he signed his new, long-term contract. Cobb said now he can focus on working on his game and the high expectations he's set for himself.
Jun 02, 11:13 PM Green Bay Packers WR Jeff Janis was singled out by head coach Mike McCarthy Tuesday, June 2. "Jeff Janis is really moving forward. (Janis) came on at the end of last year. (He) was ready to play," McCarthy said.
May 30, 12:32 AM Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers could have more freedom to change plays at the line of scrimmage this season now that offensive coordinator Tom Clements is calling plays.
May 29, 12:42 AM Green Bay Packers WR Jared Abbrederis (knee) participated in individual drills but did not do any 11-on-11 drills during the OTA session Thursday, May 31, as he continues to work his way back from surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
