2015 DRAFT GUIDE
Team Grade:
Green Bay Packers
Quarterbacks: Running Backs:
Wide Receivers: Tight Ends:
Defense: Kickers:

Outlook

The Packers are one of the best teams in all of football. The offense just keeps churning along while the defense is getting better and better. Green Bay is maybe the most complete team in the NFC right now, making them a legit contender for a Super Bowl run. As long as Aaron Rodgers is heathy, this team is going to win a lot of games and make some noise in the NFC.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Many thought receiver Davante Adams was going to have a breakout season last year but that didnā??t come to fruition. We still like his chances to get things going in this offense and become a star at receiver. Adams is a big-play threat with the ball in his hands. Look for the Packers to use him more this year. Remember, they have produced many productive No. 3 receivers, so Adams can get his targets despite playing with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb.
FANTASY DUD
Tight end Andrew Quarless is the starting tight end for the Packers but has a small grip on the job. He has some youngsters pushing him for playing time. It only seems a matter of time before he falls down the depth chart for the Packers. He has produced some decent numbers in a starting role but nothing off the charts. Expect those numbers to dip even more this season with younger options eating into his playing time.

Team Notes

Sep 02, 01:43 PM Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews (knee, elbow) is practicing this week with expectations of playing in the final preseason game and Week 1.
Sep 01, 06:23 PM Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (shoulder) thinks his sprained right shoulder will be good to go to play in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears in 12 days. 'I don't plan on missing a game,' Cobb said. 'I'm doing everything in my power to get back before then.' However, there remains swelling in his shoulder, but he said he's doing much better than when he was injured in the preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Aug. 29. Cobb did not practice Tuesday, Sept. 1, but watched from the sidelines.

Fantasy Impact: Cobb seems on track to play Week 1, but we'll know more once it gets closer.
Sep 01, 05:42 PM Green Bay Packers WR Jordy Nelson (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Sep 01, 04:53 PM Green Bay Packers QB Matt Blanchard was released Tuesday, Sept. 1, according to a source.
Sep 01, 03:52 PM Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery (hamstring) is dealing with hamstring tightness following practice Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Sep 01, 12:13 PM Green Bay Packers WR Jared Abbrederis (concussion) could practice Tuesday, Sept. 1, for the first time since suffering a concussion the first day of camp.
Aug 30, 04:42 PM Updating a previous report, Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (shoulder) has been diagnosed with an AC joint sprain, after undergoing further tests Sunday, Aug. 30, according to a source. He suffered the injury in a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Impact: This is good news for Cobb owners. He seems to have a good chance to be ready for Week 1.
Aug 29, 09:52 PM Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (shoulder) exited a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Aug. 29, and was taken to the locker room with a shoulder injury.
Aug 27, 07:22 PM Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and the rest of Green Bay's starters will not play Saturday, Aug. 29, versus the Philadelphia Eagles, according to QB Matt Blanchard.
Aug 27, 06:02 PM Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews (elbow, knee) is expected to play in the third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29. Matthews missed the first two preseason games because of injuries.
Aug 27, 06:02 PM Green Bay Packers QB Scott Tolzien (concussion) is not expected to play in the third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29, because of a concussion.
Aug 27, 04:52 PM Green Bay Packers DE Letroy Guion will be suspended for the first three games of the regular season after his appeal was apparently denied.
Aug 26, 06:03 PM Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers could see limited snaps during the third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29, and there is a chance he could sit out the entire game.
Aug 26, 05:53 PM Green Bay Packers OT David Bakhtiari (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 26, but said he is making progress in his recovery. Bakhtiari said he hopes to be ready for the start of the regular season.
Aug 25, 07:13 PM Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb said he feels no pressure to replace WR Jordy Nelson (knee) as the team's No. 1 receiver this year now that Nelson is lost for the season. 'I don't think that is an issue,' Cobb said. 'I pressed last year in the beginning of the season, and I'm not going to do that again. There's no need for that. Aaron's going to do his job, he's going to get us the ball. It's my job when I get those opportunities to make things happen.' Cobb had 91 catches for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014, and his role might not change drastically with Nelson out. Cobb has typically been a slot receiver for Green Bay, while Nelson has played on the outside.
Aug 25, 02:02 PM Green Bay Packers WR Ty Montgomery is practicing with the first-team offense Tuesday, Aug. 25, with WR Jeff Janis with the scout team.
