The Colts made huge strides last year and are setup for another solid season. A tougher schedule could impact their record some but this up-and-coming team is a playoff team that should contend for a division title. We still aren't sure this defense is good enough to make a Super Bowl run but this team is certainly heading in the right direction. They aren't far off from a huge season.

Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR. Heyward-Bey has failed to live up to his potential since entering the league but gets a change of scenery for the coming season. This should bode well for Heyward-Bey, moving to a pass-heavy offense. And this offense should fit him well as Heyward-Bey does well making plays down the field. He has a chance to start in an offense that should be explosive with one of the best young quarterbacks in the league. He has a chance to have his best season to date and finally hit that 1,000-yard mark. Don't overlook Heyward-Bey come draft day.

Reggie Wayne, WR. Wayne certainly enjoyed having Andrew Luck throwing him passes last year, producing one of his best seasons to date. But at age 35 (shortly after the season), you have to wonder how much Wayne has left in the tank. Wayne has played 11 straight full seasons in the NFL. The wear and tear has to be catching up with him sooner than later. And Wayne started to slow down some late last season after a great start to the year, having fewer than 65 yards four of his last five regular season games.

Team Notes

Apr 21, 04:52 PM Indianapolis Colts restricted free-agent CB Josh Gordy has signed his one-year tender offer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Apr 19, 12:22 PM Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Hasselbeck plans to retire after the 2014 season.
Apr 18, 08:22 PM Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said it will be important for RB Trent Richardson to participate in all of the offseason workouts so he can get more comfortable with the offense. 'He wants to be great. He's got all the talent. He's got all the ability. We would have never done what we did if we didn't believe that deep down in our core. So we look for him to have a great offseason and to have a great 2014 campaign,' Pagano said.

Fantasy Impact: This is sure looking like a make or break season for Richardson. He needs to get going in a hurry.
Apr 18, 07:52 PM The Indianapolis Colts are expected to pick up the fifth-year option in OT Anthony Castonzo's contract before the May 3 deadline.
Apr 14, 01:52 AM The Indianapolis Colts offensive line is still in flux, with several players battling for key spots. OG Donald Thomas (knee), returning from a torn ACL, is expected to man one guard spot, while OGs Lance Louis and Hugh Thornton will battle for the other guard position. The most intriguing position may be center, where the team seems to want C Khaled Holmes to beat out recent addition Phil Costa for the starting role.
Apr 08, 11:33 PM Free-agent LB Pat Angerer (knee) said Tuesday, April 8, he is still a few months away from being able to conduct an NFL workout as a free agent. He is recovering from microfracture knee surgery.
Apr 08, 07:43 PM Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne (knee) is expected to be cleared for football activities April 25 after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee in Week 7 last season. 'I feel good, I'm ahead of schedule,' Wayne said. 'I'm at the point where I'm tired of doing the same rehab stuff, to be honest with you. I'm excited to get back to football activities. I feel good.' Wayne wants to participate in the team's minicamp, but he'll be held out as a precaution.
Mar 27, 09:32 PM Indianapolis Colts C Khaled Holmes could have an edge over C Phil Costa for the starting center job.
Mar 27, 09:32 PM Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson said OG Donald Thomas (biceps, quadriceps) is on schedule in his recovery from torn biceps and quadriceps muscles he suffered during the season. Thomas is expected to start at one of the guard spots next season if he is healthy.
Mar 22, 12:52 PM Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson indicated C Phil Costa and C Khaled Holmes will compete for the starting center job next season.
Mar 20, 02:52 PM Indianapolis Colts TE Dwayne Allen (hip) said he's 100 percent in his rehab but is unsure when he'll return to the practice field this offseason. He's participating in Pilates and other rehab activities three days a week.
Mar 16, 02:32 AM The Carolina Panthers made an offer to Indianapolis Colts WR Hakeem Nicks before he signed with that team. Both Nicks and Carolina GM Dave Gettleman agreed Indianapolis would make the better fit.
Mar 15, 12:02 PM The Denver Broncos could show interest in free-agent Cs Brian De La Puente (Saints) and Samson Satele (Colts) with the idea of moving C Manuel Ramirez to offensive guard. The team could also pursue free-agent OGs Davin Joseph (Buccaneers) and Kevin Boothe (Giants) and keep Ramirez at center.
Mar 15, 10:42 AM Indianapolis Colts WR Hakeem Nicks said he wanted to play with QB Andrew Luck, calling him one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
Mar 14, 07:42 PM Updating a previous report, the Indianapolis Colts agreed to a one-year deal worth a maximum of $5.5 million with WR Hakeem Nicks, according to a source.
Mar 14, 07:22 PM The Indianapolis Colts agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with free-agent WR Hakeem Nicks (Giants) Friday, March 14, according to a source.

Fantasy Impact: Nicks should start and has a good chance to produce very good numbers in this offense.
