Outlook

The Jaguars are a team in the rise. The offense is about as explosive as it gets with several young players leading the way. Jacksonville is setup to score a lot of points with Blake Bortles leading the way in year three for him. The defense is the concern. It made strides last season and used free agency and the draft to get better, but still seem to lack a few pieces to be a top unit. The pass rush might be the key for the defense. It could be very good, which will help every aspect of the defense. Jacksonville seems ready to take a jump forward this season and challenge for a playoff spot.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Running back T.J. Yeldon had a productive rookie season, topping 1,000 yards while catching 36 passes. He has competition for playing time this year in Chris Ivory, but should still see the field often, especially if you consider he is the top pass-catching back on the team. Ivory might steal goal-line work from Yeldon, but we think Yeldon is the back that piles up the most yards in this explosive offense. He can build on last year and take his game to a new level in 2016. Don't be scared off of Yeldon because of the arrival of Ivory.
FANTASY DUD
Chris Ivory was signed to provide some punch at the running back spot. He should split the work at running back for the Jaguars and likely get the goal-line chances. This gives him obvious value for the coming year. But don't expect another 1,000-yard season from him. Remember, he isn't much of a pass catcher and we aren't sure he is a great fit for the offense, making him a guy that could take a backseat to Yeldon often. His yards are going to be down compared to the past few years with the Jets.

However, the coaching staff is still 'holding their breath' that the second opinion Ramsey receives will confirm the injury is minor.

Yeldon, and Yeldon will serve as the primary third-down back.

May 19, 09:43 PM Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (knee) is more likely to need a menisectomy to repair his torn meniscus, based on the typical method for repairing this type of injury, meaning his recovery time would be on the shorter end of the spectrum.

Fantasy Impact: He seems to have avoided something too bad but this injury is a concern for the start of his career.
