Outlook

Head coach Chip Kelly has tons of pressure on him to do well this season. It could be a make or break year for him after overhauling his roster from last year. He has his players on the team, so Kelly will be expected to produce with his team. There is talent on both sides of the ball but you have to wonder how long it will take for them to gel. And Sam Bradford is a big question mark because of his injury history. The Eagles look like about a .500 team this year, having plenty of questions on both sides of the ball.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Receiver Jordan Matthews had a productive rookie season and emerged as a top target in this offense. Matthews should be the No. 1 receiver from day one this season. He is the most talented receiver on the roster with good red-zone potential. The Eagles might run the ball more this season but Matthews will get his chances in the passing game. He has a good chance for a 1,000-yard season and near double-digit scores.
FANTASY DUD
The Eagles are going to run the ball a lot this season, but you have to wonder how much work Ryan Mathews will get with DeMarco Murray around. Mathews also has Darren Sproles to compete with for touches, which is another strike against him. You canā??t value Mathews based on what he has done in past seasons. He has plenty of talent and can produce the big game any given week, but things arenā??t looking great for Mathews to produce big in his first season with the Eagles.

Team Notes

Feb 10, 03:43 PM Philadelphia Eagles LB Najee Goode signed a one-year deal Wednesday, Feb. 10. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Feb 09, 06:23 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB Matthew Tucker (undisclosed) was placed on no-recall waivers Tuesday, Feb. 9, with a non-football injury.
Feb 08, 04:13 PM Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford will not receive the franchise tag.
Feb 08, 01:53 PM Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper was released Monday, Feb. 8.

Fantasy Impact: He'll find work but likely in a reserve role.
Feb 08, 10:03 AM Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford could have the franchise tag placed on him this offseason, but the team hasn't made a decision yet. If the Eagles use the franchise tag on Bradford, they will need to pay him about $20 million in 2016 once he signs the contract.
Feb 07, 01:33 PM Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Sam Bradford is not expected to receive the franchise tag this offseason, but the team is still interested in re-signing him, according to sources.
Feb 05, 12:53 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray is guaranteed $7 million in 2016, and the Eagles would take a $13 million salary cap hit if they were to release him before June 1, which makes Murray unlikely to be cut. Murray would likely have to take a pay cut to be traded.
Feb 04, 09:23 PM Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson listed finding a 'young quarterback' as one of the steps necessary for team to have success, which could mean QB Sam Bradford is not in the team's plans moving forward.
Feb 04, 07:53 PM Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray said he is committed to the Eagles despite rumors that there may be dissension between Murray and Philadelphia and despite a tweet by Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant telling Murray to return to the Cowboys.

Fantasy Impact: We'll see. It might make sense for Murray to move on but the Eagles are going to have to find a financial way to do so.
Feb 04, 07:43 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray drew interest from the Seattle Seahawks last offseason before he signed with the Eagles. He could be pursued by them again this offseason if he does not return to Philadelphia. That move may not make much sense for Seattle, though, according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com. Kapadia believes RB Thomas Rawls is still the answer for Seattle's future backfield even if Murray is available.
Feb 04, 06:53 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray may not return to Philadelphia Eagles next season, and Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant has already started recruiting Murray back to Dallas. The Cowboys are one of the teams included among those who might be interested in signing Murray.
Feb 04, 05:43 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray could be courted by the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders or Dallas Cowboys if he does not return to the Eagles next season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Those three teams were interested in Murray last offseason before he signed with the Eagles.
Feb 04, 01:33 PM The Philadelphia Eagles and RB DeMarco Murray appear to be at odds regarding his future with the organization. The division is based on Murray's disappointing 2015 season, the team's conviction he is the long-term answer at running back and the huge five-year, $40 million contract he signed last offseason.
Feb 03, 03:53 PM If Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford does not return in 2016, the Eagles could use a high draft pick on the position and look for a quarterback in free agency to help bridge the gap until that rookie is capable of starting, in the opinion of PhillyVoice.com's Jimmy Kempski.
Feb 03, 03:33 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has a good chance of not returning to Philadelphia next season, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com. Kempski said he would lean heavily towards Bradford not being re-signed.
Jan 31, 07:53 PM Philadelphia Eagles OT Lane Johnson said he thinks the team would benefit from re-signing QB Sam Bradford. 'I definitely want him to say,' Johnson said. 'If you look at the last part of the year, Sam was doing really well. Completing a lot of passes and getting comfortable. Him staying here, him being familiar with the players, I think that would really help us out.'
