Team Grade:
Philadelphia Eagles
Quarterbacks: Running Backs:

Defense: Kickers:

Outlook

The Eagles are a team on the rise. This team made big strides last season and could be even better this year. The offense could be scary good, especially with reports in the offseason about the team working at an even faster pace this year. The defense also has the pieces in place to do well. The key might be the play of the secondary. If this unit can make strides, it wouldn't surprise to see the Eagles not only win the division title again but also contend for a Super Bowl spot.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Receiver Jeremy Maclin is going to have some big shoes to fill this season, returning from his torn ACL and serving as the No. 1 receiver for the Eagles. We think he'll be up to the task, though. Maclin has never topped 1,000 yards in a season but is primed to do so this season. The Eagles run a ton of plays and Maclin could get the most targets on the team. He has big potential for that breakout season. He really hasn't lived up to expectations to date, posting decent but not great numbers throughout his career.
FANTASY DUD
Receiver Riley Cooper had a career season last year but his overall numbers still weren't great by any means. He failed to top 50 receptions for 900 yards. He was productive but don't overvalue him come draft day. We don't see a big bump in production, especially with DeSean Jackson gone. Jackson did a good job of drawing attention in coverage, making it a bit easier for Cooper to get open.

Team Notes

Sep 20, 09:42 PM Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper has five catches for 37 yards and no scores in two games this season despite Chip Kelly's offense creating one-on-one opportunities on the outside by drawing the safeties toward the middle of the field.
Sep 19, 02:22 PM Philadelphia Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks (calf) has been ruled out for Week 3. WR Josh Huff (shoulder) is listed as doubtful, OT Matt Tobin (ankle) and SS Earl Wolff (ankle) are listed as questionable and CB Nolan Carroll (elbow), DE Fletcher Cox (back), OG Todd Herremans (hamstring), FS Malcolm Jenkins (shoulder), WR Brad Smith (groin), CB Jaylen Watkins (hamstring) and CB Cary Williams (hamstring) are listed as probable. Kendricks and Wolff did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 19, while the other players fully participated in practice.
Sep 19, 02:12 PM Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 19, and is listed as probable for Week 3.
Sep 19, 12:42 AM Philadelphia Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks (calf) is considered very doubtful for the team's Week 3 game, according to head coach Chip Kelly. LB Emmanuel Acho likely would start at inside linebacker if Kendricks misses the game.

Sep 16, 11:33 AM Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz leads the NFL in yards per reception (23.3) through two weeks. He also is tied with Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones for the most receptions of 20-plus yards (six) and has as many 20-plus-yard catches as 20 other teams.

Fantasy Impact: Ertz is well on his way to a breakout season. He is making a ton of big plays in this offense.
Sep 16, 11:33 AM Philadelphia Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks (calf) said it was a calf spasm that removed him from action Monday, Sept. 15, and that he should be fine.

Fantasy Impact: Another solid showing for Foles. His touchdown totals haven't been great but he is still getting yards and a few scores.
Sep 15, 11:52 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles had seven receptions for a career-high 152 yards in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts Monday, Sept. 15. He also had four carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Impact: The Eagles are finding ways to use Sproles and he is producing. He looks as spry as ever at this point of the season.
Sep 15, 11:52 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy had 20 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown in the Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts Monday, Sept. 15, and he added four receptions for 23 yards.

Fantasy Impact: Not a huge game but another good showing for McCoy. He is off to a good start to his season.
