Outlook

The Eagles are a team on the rise. This team made big strides last season and could be even better this year. The offense could be scary good, especially with reports in the offseason about the team working at an even faster pace this year. The defense also has the pieces in place to do well. The key might be the play of the secondary. If this unit can make strides, it wouldn't surprise to see the Eagles not only win the division title again but also contend for a Super Bowl spot.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Receiver Jeremy Maclin is going to have some big shoes to fill this season, returning from his torn ACL and serving as the No. 1 receiver for the Eagles. We think he'll be up to the task, though. Maclin has never topped 1,000 yards in a season but is primed to do so this season. The Eagles run a ton of plays and Maclin could get the most targets on the team. He has big potential for that breakout season. He really hasn't lived up to expectations to date, posting decent but not great numbers throughout his career.
FANTASY DUD
Receiver Riley Cooper had a career season last year but his overall numbers still weren't great by any means. He failed to top 50 receptions for 900 yards. He was productive but don't overvalue him come draft day. We don't see a big bump in production, especially with DeSean Jackson gone. Jackson did a good job of drawing attention in coverage, making it a bit easier for Cooper to get open.

Team Notes

May 17, 07:22 PM Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray is going to be missed by his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, according to retired WR Michael Irvin. 'I want to upchuck sometimes when I hear the thoughts of others and (they say), 'Oh, you can put any running back behind that offensive line of the Dallas Cowboys,' Irvin said. 'I say, 'Really? Why did they hand the ball off to DeMarco Murray 392 times? Why didn't they stick anybody back there last year?' Because they already knew.'
May 16, 07:42 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez could be the team's best bet for a starting quarterback. Sanchez went 4-4 after taking over as the starter last season, and finished the campaign with a career best 64.1 completion percentage. Sanchez has played all but one game during his six-year career, showing health that's lacked by the Eagles' other options.
May 14, 10:42 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is a perfect fit for Chip Kelly's offense because he can make all the throws with a 'top-notch' arm, is a 'better athlete than people think' and operates best out of a no-huddle attack, according to New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
May 11, 02:32 AM Philadelphia Eagles WR Riley Cooper may not have a starting job this season with the drafting of WR Nelson Agholor.
May 06, 03:43 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez believes he can still start this year. 'Really just talking with [head] coach [Chip] Kelly and knowing I'm coming with the opportunity to compete for the starting job, that was important to me,' Sanchez said.
May 02, 04:42 AM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford was shopped to both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans, according to sources, but Eagles coach Chip Kelly has denied the rumors.

May 01, 12:52 AM The Philadelphia Eagles offered the Tennessee Titans two first-round picks, one third-round pick, DT Fletcher Cox, CB Brandon Boykin, LB Mychal Kendricks and QB Sam Bradford in exchange for the 2nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, according to a source.

Apr 30, 06:32 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford isn't thrilled about the possibility of being traded to the Browns and is resistant to the idea of signing a contract extension with Cleveland. Bradford wasn't thrilled when the Browns first asked about him when he was with the St. Louis Rams.
Apr 30, 05:42 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford could be traded to the Cleveland Browns, according to sources.
Apr 28, 01:13 AM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford was acquired to be the team's quarterback, not as a trade pawn. Bradford will only sign an extension with the Eagles with a no-trade clause, as he really wants to play in the system of head coach Chip Kelly and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.
Apr 24, 06:02 PM Oregon QB Marcus Mariota could be selected by the Philadelphia Eagles if the team could make trades with the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans, according to one draft rumor. The rumor states the Eagles would trade QB Sam Bradford to the Browns for the 19th overall pick, then the Eagles would trade DT Fletcher Cox, LB Mychal Kendricks, the 19th overall pick and the 20th overall pick to the Titans for the second overall pick where they would select Mariota.
Apr 23, 04:12 PM Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford has reportedly not had meaningful contract talks regarding an extension. Bradford is in the final year of his rookie deal. The quarterback is open to signing an extension if he is not traded.
