OutlookThe Eagles might have been the disappointment of the league last year but still have the talent to be a big-time threat in the NFC. Remember, they battled a lot of injury last season, which didn't help matters for the team. Their defense has a few struggles against the rush but some top corners do well in shutting down the passing game. And the offense has some explosive weapons, including Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy. Look for the Eagles to turn it around as long as they can stay healthy. They can make the playoffs and make a Super Bowl run if all the pieces fall into place. |
|
Jeremy Maclin, WR. Maclin still hasn't had that huge season since entering the league. We think this is the year that changes. He is the clear No. 1 receiver in this offense and should lead the team in targets. Expect Michael Vick to look his way more often after DeSean Jackson's struggles last year. Maclin is the most reliable target for Vick. Maclin is a big-play threat but is improving on his underneath routes. He is becoming the complete package for the Eagles. |
|
DeSean Jackson, WR. Jackson was a dud about all last season. Like always, he had the occasional big game, which padded his stats in the end. But he disappeared too many other weeks. This drives fantasy owners crazy. We don't see this pattern changing. He is no longer the top option in the passing game with Maclin emerging as the No. 1 for the Eagles. Don't overvalue Jackson based off past success. |

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (knee) is OK after leaving workouts Monday, May 20, with knee discomfort.
Fantasy Impact: Good to hear. It was probably just a precaution more than anything to have him leave workouts early. He should be fine. | | May 20, 03:33 PM |
Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles received 21 snaps with the first-team offense during organized team activities Monday, May 20, while QB Michael Vick received 15 snaps.

Fantasy Impact: We'll keep you posted. It doesn't sound like a big deal right now. | | May 19, 03:12 PM |
Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick said head coach Chip Kelly has helped him with his ball security by showing him a new way to hold the ball. 'The other day, I broke out in the pocket, and the first thing Chip told me was to tuck the football,' Vick said. 'So I showed him how I was running with it, and he looked at it and he knocked the ball right out of my hands. And he was like, 'Hold it like this.' And what he told me felt comfortable. I had a tighter grip on the football. That should secure that problem as long as I work on it.' | | May 18, 02:02 PM |
Philadelphia Eagles TE Clay Harbor indicated he hopes seeing some time at outside linebacker during organized team activities will help his chances to make the final roster because of his versatility. Harbor said he is still a tight end but is learning linebacker for emergency purposes. | | May 18, 12:32 PM |

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick looks motivated to succeed this year. '(Vick's) noticeably bigger and enthused about the offense,' Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman writes. Vick was in a system that had less designed runs for him last year, but the offense under new head coach Chip Kelly could play better to his strengths with an improved offensive line. Vick took snaps with the first team during organized team activities this week, and he's the favorite to start in Week 1 over QB Nick Foles. | | May 16, 08:52 PM |

Philadelphia Eagles RB Felix Jones does not know what his role will be with the team, or what type of offense the team plays. Jones does not want to get ahead of himself.
Fantasy Impact: Jones is just fighting for a roster spot right now. Don't expect a huge role. | | May 14, 02:53 PM |
