Outlook

The Seahawks lost some defensive players but gained maybe the best tight end in the game, trading for Jimmy Graham. He gives the offense a new dimension, which should be a benefit for all involved. You have to worry about the defense slipping a little but this unit remains a top-five squad. The Seahawks are one of the best teams in football and will be a tough out during the regular season and the playoffs. It wouldn‚??t surprise to see this team make yet another trip to the Super Bowl. The talent is certainly there for good things from this unit.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
Receiver Jermaine Kearse showed some good things last year, especially in the playoffs. He scored two touchdowns in three playoff games after having just one score during the regular season. Kearse has emerged as the starter for the Seahawks and one of the top big-play threats on the team. He should get more consistent work from day one this year and could challenge a 1,000-yard season. The addition of Jimmy Graham should give Kearse more room to run in the secondary.
FANTASY DUD
You have to figure running back Marshawn Lynch will hit the wall sooner than later. He won‚??t be awful this year but don‚??t be surprised if his stats finally start to decline some. He keeps himself in great shape but has a lot of touches the last few seasons and battled some nagging injuries during that stretch. It just seems a stretch to think Lynch can continue to play at the level of the past few seasons. He has to start to decline at some point, right?

Team Notes

Aug 26, 12:53 AM Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael appears to be in good shape holding onto the No. 3 running back spot behind RBs Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin. There has been speculation RBs Thomas Rawls and Rod X. Smith might push Michael for the No. 3 job, but head coach Pete Carroll dismissed that. 'Well they're just kind of trying to make it, they're just trying to hang right now,' Carroll said of Rawls and Smith. 'I don't know if they are pushing anybody but pushing themselves right now and just trying to figure it out.'
