Outlook

The Seahawks are one of the favorites to make the Super Bowl out of the NFC. Their defense might be the best in the game right now and the offense does good things for this team to win a lot of games. Seattle will challenge for that spot in the Super Bowl and have the talent to win it all. The only concern might be the offense, which lacks some playmakers in the passing game. Quarterback Russell Wilson might be a top receiver or two short of giving this team a special offense.
FANTASY BREAKOUT
He looked great in the preseason last year and is having a great offseason this year, so things are really looking up for second-year running back Christine Michael. He is going to get work in this offense and could move into more a timeshare with starter Marshawn Lynch. Lynch isn't getting any younger and has a lot of carries under his belt. Michael is the future at the position and should start to get his chances this season. He can be a difference maker for this offense because of his big-play potential.
FANTASY DUD
We don't think he'll be a total flop but Marshawn Lynch might have a hard time living up to his first-round draft status. As mentioned, Lynch is getting older (nearing 30 years old) and has a lot of carries under his belt the last few seasons. Plus, his running style can be a bit taxing, which is another concern. This season could be the start of a downward trend for Lynch. His best days are likely behind him.

Team Notes

Sep 21, 05:52 PM Seattle Seahawks OT Russell Okung (chest) left the Week 3 game against the Denver Broncos in the second quarter and he was immediately taken to the locker room due to an apparent chest injury.
Sep 21, 03:22 PM The Seattle Seahawks have declared OT Garry Gilliam, LB Bruce Irvin, OT Andrew McDonald, RB Christine Michael, WR Kevin Norwood, DE Greg Scruggs, CB Tharold Simon inactive for Week 3.
Sep 19, 06:22 PM Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (back) practiced in full for the second straight day Friday, Sept. 19, and is probable for Week 3 against the Denver Broncos.
Sep 19, 06:22 PM Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch could be used often in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos after running only six times in a loss to the San Diego Chargers in Week 2. Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell wouldn't specify how much they'll use Lynch, but the Seahawks would be happy to give Lynch 20 touches.
Sep 19, 06:12 PM Seattle Seahawks CB Tharold Simon (knee) is out for Week 3 against the Denver Broncos. LB Bruce Irvin (rib) is questionable, while SS Kam Chancellor (ankle), TE Cooper Helfet (knee), RB Christine Michael (hamstring), TE Zach Miller (ankle), LB Mike Morgan (hip) and LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring) are probable. Irvin and Simon didn't practice Friday, Sept. 19, while the rest were full participants.
Sep 18, 08:22 PM Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (back) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 18.
Sep 18, 08:22 PM Seattle Seahawks LB Bruce Irvin (rib), TE Zach Miller (ankle), LB Mike Morgan (hip) and CB Tharold Simon (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 18. Fantasy Impact: Lynch should be ready to go this weekend but keep an eye on the notes for the latest.
Sep 15, 09:32 PM Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (back) is dealing with a back issue, and head coach Pete Carroll said Monday, Sept. 15, that the issue is 'ongoing.' Lynch will be monitored. His back tightened up in the Week 2 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Fantasy Impact: We'll keep you posted on this. It is an injury to watch as Lynch has a lot of carries the last few years, so his health is a concern.

Sep 15, 06:43 PM Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael (hamstring) will participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Sep 14, 06:22 PM Seattle Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor (cramps) left the Week 2 game against the San Diego Chargers in the third quarter due to cramping issues. He went to the locker room for intravenous fluids.
Sep 14, 03:02 PM The Seattle Seahawks have declared TE Cooper Helfet, OT Andrew McDonald, RB Christine Michael, WR Kevin Norwood, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, DE Greg Scruggs, CB Tharold Simon inactive for Week 2.
Sep 14, 12:02 AM Seattle Seahawks WR Kevin Norwood (foot) is healthy enough to play in the team's Week 2 game Sunday, Sept. 14, but will a game-time decision, according to head coach Pete Carroll.
Sep 12, 05:02 PM Seattle Seahawks LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring) and CB Tharold Simon (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 12, and have been ruled out for Week 2. TE Cooper Helfet (knee) was limited during practice and is listed as doubtful.
