Team Grade:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Quarterbacks: Running Backs:
Wide Receivers: Tight Ends:
Defense: Kickers:

The Bucs are an intriguing team this year. The offense is getting better and better, but much will depend on the development of quarterback Jameis Winston. If the rookie can play pretty mistake-free football, the Bucs could surprise and land a playoff spot. The defense is making strides and the offense has two of the best receivers in the game. Tampa is a team on the rise. A season around .500 seems likely but donā??t be surprised if the Bucs are a little better than that if Winston has a solid rookie season.
He didnā??t have quite the rookie season as expected but tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins should be a bigger part of the offense from day one. He is a talented pass catcher that could have more room to run this year with Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans attracting much of the coverage on the outside. Plus, rookie quarterbacks tend to make the easy pass if given the chance, which could lead to more targets for Seferian-Jenkings. He can take his game to a new level this year and become a low-end No. 1 for fantasy teams.
Running back Doug Martin might be atop the depth chart right now but donā??t expect that to last for long. He has been given plenty of chances the last few seasons but done little with them. It is only a matter of time before the Bucs move on from Martin. Expect Charles Sims to take over the starting duties for the Bucs before the season is out. He is the younger back with more potential going forward.

'There's no reason to risk it,' Evans said. 'I've already proven myself. And this way I can just try to get back for Week 1 of the regular season.' Evans added that if he had to play, he could.
Aug 26, 08:53 PM Free-agent PK Connor Barth (Broncos) agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wednesday, Aug. 26, on a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Fantasy Impact: Barth should be the top kicker for the Bucs this season. His fantasy value takes a pretty big hit, though, moving from the Broncos to Bucs.
Aug 26, 10:33 AM Denver Broncos PK Brandon McManus won the kicking job as PK Connor Barth was released Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Fantasy Impact: This is a bit of a surprise. Barth kicked well down the stretch for the Broncos last year.
Aug 25, 04:33 PM Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie QB Jameis Winston (ankle) suffered a sprained ankle Monday, Aug. 24, against the Cincinnati Bengals. Head coach Lovie Smith still expects him to start Week 3 of the preseason against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Impact: This is good to hear. He'll be fine for the start of the season.

Aug 25, 09:13 AM Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) isn't believed to have a serious hamstring injury. 'I talked to him and he didn't feel like it was that serious,' head coach Lovie Smith said. 'We wanted to get our (starters) into the second quarter and then get them out.'

Fantasy Impact: This is good news. He should be ready for Week 1.
Aug 24, 11:32 PM Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston completed eight of his 13 pass attempts for 90 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the preseason game Monday, Aug. 24, against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also ran once for a touchdown.

Fantasy Impact: It was a solid game for Winston. He is going to have a fine rookie season.
Aug 24, 11:32 PM Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin rushed six times for 59 yards in the preseason game Monday, Aug. 24, against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Impact: Martin has a firm grip of the starter's job right now and his stock is rising some because of his solid play in camp and preseason action.
Aug 24, 09:12 PM Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) left the preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals Monday, Aug. 24, due to a strained hamstring.

Fantasy Impact: We'll keep an eye on this one but it doesn't seem too serious right now.

Aug 22, 09:52 AM Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has dropped way too many passes during training camp and could give way to TE Brandon Myers as the starter, according to NFL National reporter Pat Yasinkas.
