Running Back Rank: #218 Overall: #912
Betts landed with the Saints shortly after the start of the season and got some playing time because of injury. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to a neck injury. He was placed on Injured Reserve after playing eight games with the Saints. Betts didn't look too bad, though, catching 23 passes in limited action while rushing for 150 yards. He proved to have a little left in the tank after suffering a major knee injury the previous season. But even with that sad, Betts turns 32 before the start of the season and is coming off another injury, so he has a tough road ahead to make an NFL roster this season. Betts is a good between the tackles runner, but also has enough speed to break some plays to the outside. His biggest asset right now might be his pass-catching ability, catching 20-plus passes four of the last five years.

Betts might be worth a late look in deep PPR leagues, but don't bother with him outside of those formats. He has topped 400-rushing yards just once in his entire career. |

| New Orleans Saints RB Ladell Betts is expected to be the featured back in the team's Week 4 game against the Carolina Panthers if RB Pierre Thomas (ankle) does not play, according to NewOrleans.com's Brian Allee-Walsh. Betts took the majority of the snaps with the first-team offense in practice this week, with RBs Chris Ivory and DeShawn Wynn working in reserve duties. Wynn could be promoted from the practice squad to be active in Week 4. |
| Fantasy Impact: This is kind of a surprise as we figured Ivory would take the lead role, but Betts has more experience so the Saints mush feel more comfortable going with him. |
