Quarterback Rank: #62 Overall: #319
Carr was brought in to push Alex Smith at quarterback, providing competition for the starting job. That didn't materialize for Carr, though, who fell all the way to No. 3 on the depth chart behind Alex Smith and Troy Smith. Carr played in a game this past season, going 5-of-13 for 67 yards and an interception. Carr has attempted fewer than 35 passes three straight seasons. Carr was the first overall pick in 2002 and has been a starter in the NFL, but his days of starting seem over. He is a decent backup, though, because of his starting experience and limited success. Carr has a great arm, but tends to struggle with accuracy and decision making. He also has a tendency to hold onto the ball too long, taking unnecessary sacks.

Even if forced into the starting lineup, Carr won't help fantasy teams. Remember, he has more interceptions (71) than touchdowns passes (65) for his career. There is a reason he isn't starting anymore. |
