Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller will start against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, not newly acquired QB Carson Palmer. There was concern about Palmer's ability to make 'high-velocity throws.' Boller will be making his first start since 2009.
Fantasy Impact: Boller isn't much of a fantasy play in a starting role.

Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson was noncommittal Tuesday, Oct. 18, when asked about his starting quarterback for Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. 'You think I'm gonna tell you that? We'll see as we continue to move through the week,' Jackson said. The general thinking is that QB Kyle Boller will start in Week 7, and newly acquired QB Carson Palmer will be given through the bye in Week 8 to learn the playbook and get up to speed with his new system.
Fantasy Impact: Palmer will be given a chance to get ready but not sure he has enough time to get up to speed. He'll be in there before long.

Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson would commit to nothing regarding his starting quarterback for Week 7 until the trade deadline has passed and he examined every option available in the wake of QB Jason Campbell's (clavicle) loss with a broken clavicle. Jackson would not even say flat-out that QB Kyle Boller would start in Week 7.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller will be the team's starting quarterback heading into Week 7 unless the team acquires a veteran quarterback this week. QB Terrelle Pryor is the current backup and is scheduled to come off the exempt list Monday, Oct. 17. CB Joseph Porter is expected to be released if the team brings in another quarterback.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller completed 8 of 14 passes for 100 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns. Boller might be in line to start, unless the team brings in a player from outside of the organization, as QB Jason Campbell (collarbone) suffered a broken bone and might be out for the season.
Fantasy Impact: Boller should be the starter the rest of the way but isn't much of a fantasy play if you look at his past history.

Oakland Raiders QB Kyle Boller completed five of his seven pass attempts for 69 yards in the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 28, against the New Orleans Saints. QB Trent Edwards connected on six of his 10 attempts for 60 yards, but he also lost a fumble. Edwards did not get to work with many first- or second-team players as Boller, but he looked unsure on several plays, and he was sacked three times.
