Battle played 15 games with the Steelers in his first season with the team and went without a catch, getting targeted twice all season. He helped on special teams, but wasn't a factor offensively. Battle had five receptions the previous season, so his work offensively has been declining. Battle had four straight seasons with 24 or more receptions before the past two years. He had some success in a reserve role as a No. 3 or 4 receiver. But at age 31, Battle might have a hard time landing that role. He still has something left, but hasn't proved much with his recent chances. Battle is a solid possession receiver with steady hands and good speed. He'll battle for a reserve spot this season.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Battle isn't a guy to draft. He might be worth a waiver-wire grab if he starts getting consistent playing time, but that isn't likely to happen this season. His numbers have gone down the last four seasons.
