Urban played six games with the Chiefs last season, catching four passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. He was inactive much of the season, serving a deep reserve role with the team. Urban has three seasons with double-digit catches but his career high in receptions is just 34. He isn't a huge threat as a receiver, especially at age 31. Urban can help on special teams, though, and as a reserve receiver. Urban isn't flashy, but does a pretty good job of serving as a possession receiver. He has pretty good speed and does a good job of making big plays. For his career, he averages 13.9 yards per reception.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

His numbers have never been too impressive. Don't expect a sudden breakout season. He probably reached his plateau in 2008, which was a season he still didn't help many fantasy teams.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel has organized workouts this week with some of the team's wide receivers and tight ends. WRs Dwayne Bowe and Jerheme Urban and TE Brad Cottam have joined Cassel for the workouts. Cassel said he has called QB Ricky Stanzi and WR Jonathan Baldwin about joining the workouts.

The Kansas City Chiefs could use WR Jerheme Urban and WR Dexter McCluster as their No. 3 receiver at different times because each have a different skill set, reports Josh Looney, of KCChiefs.com.
Fantasy Impact: McCluster has a lot more upside, but Urban knows the offense better.
