Kaeding missed three games because of a groin injury, but still managed another 100-point season, scoring 109 points in 13 games. He had four games with double-digit points and made an impressive 9-of-10 field-goal attempts between 40 and 49 yards. Kaeding has a strong leg, making 10 kicks of 50-plus yards during his seven-year NFL career. Kaeding also is accurate, making 87 percent of his field-goal attempts. He is the complete package in a good Chargers' offense. For his career, Kaeding averages 123 points per season and has scored at least 112 points in every full season of his career.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Kaeding is an elite fantasy kicker. His numbers are rock solid and he plays in a great offense. Another season with 130-plus points and some long-distance kicks are expected for Kaeding. He should go among the first three kickers come draft day.

Kaeding is ahead of schedule in his recovery, and he said last week that he expects to resume kicking field goals again late in January. Kaeding said he doesn't anticipate camp competition, but that's exactly what might happen with the two.

San Diego Chargers PK Nate Kaeding believes this year's training camp has been the best of his career. He said the day-to-day consistency has been there and he is feeling really comfortable on the field. 'I just think it's a natural carry-over from the good work I was able to put in this spring and summer,' Kaeding said. Of his five missed field goals last season, one came during a groin injury that caused him to miss a couple of games and three others came on tries of 50 yards or longer. Head coach Norv Turner said there are not any concerns over Kaeding's range of kicks, noting he was able to hit a 57-yarder in '08 and a 52-yard game-winner in '09. Kaeding is 10-of-19 on 50 yards or longer field goals in his career, but he has had better accuracy during training camp this year, which he is attributing to his focus. He said he spent time during the offseason working on longer field goals to become more comfortable with them.

San Diego Chargers PK Nate Kaeding took up yoga and Pilates in the offseason, and he has varied his routine in the weight room and was given a new coach. In addition, he has new special teams coach Rich Bisaccia spending parts of practice throwing socks and tennis balls at Kaeding as he attempts field goals. 'To make it as hectic as possible,' Kaeding said. 'It's a good time in my career to have a different slant.'
