SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #9
Overall: #51

The only thing that seems to be holding Schaub back is his health. He missed four games near the middle of last season because of a knee injury, but returned for the last four and posted huge numbers. In those four games, Schaub threw for 1,281 yards (320 per game) and scored six touchdowns. The Texans offense is emerging as one of the best in the game with Andre Johnson and Kevin Walter at receiver and a top-notch young running back in Steve Slaton. Schaub has a strong arm and displays good accuracy. He also throws a good deep ball, which is key when you have a guy like Johnson on your team. Schaub just needs to stay healthy, missing 10 games the last two seasons because of various injuries.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Schaub has a ton of potential in this offense. He can be a top No. 1 for fantasy teams, but his injury history makes him a guy to target after the top quarterbacks are taken. He could be a steal at around the 10th or so quarterback taken if he can make it through a full season. There aren't many QBs at that point of the draft capable of throwing for 4,000 yards and 25-plus scores.
The Associated Press reports Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub went 25-for-34 for 268 yards and two interceptions in the team's Week 8 game.
Fantasy Impact: Not his best game as the Texans finally had success running the ball.

Dale Robertson, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub said the offense needs to be consistent during a game. 'We know we need to play more consistently, especially in the second half. When we get on a roll, we can be great. But there's stuff we need to clean up, penalty-wise and turnover-wise,' Schaub said.
