SUMMARY
Quarterback Rank: #89
Overall: #526

Schaub didn't quite match his huge '09 season but played well again for the Texans in 2010. The Texans were more balanced offensively, but Schaub still got plenty of chances in the passing game. He had another 4,000-yard season and scored 24 touchdowns. Schaub finished the season with a flourish, though. He had 300-yard games four of his last five and had nine touchdowns during that stretch. Schaub proved he can still carry the Texans offense if needed. Over the last two years, Schaub averaged 4,570-passing yards and 27 touchdowns. Schaub has a strong arm and is very accurate (completed at least 64 percent of his passes five straight years). He throws a great deep ball, which is important with a guy like Andre Johnson on his team. Schaub did have injury problems in the past, but showed good toughness last two seasons, playing hurt and doing well.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Schaub took a little step backwards last season for fantasy teams, but not a huge step. He remains a low-end No. 1. The Texans run the ball more successfully with Arian Foster breakout out last year. This takes away some of Schaub's chances, but he is still good for a 4,000-yard season and 25 or so scores. Those numbers are just fine for a starting fantasy quarterback.
Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) began walking on his surgically repaired foot this week after six weeks of non-weight bearing activities. He said he likely will be able to participate in offseason workouts and definitely will be ready for training camp.

Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) will need to undergo surgery to fix the Lisfranc injury to his right foot.
Fantasy Impact: This is the reason he was put on Injured Reserve. He should be ready to go for 2012, though.

The Houston Texans have placed QB Matt Schaub (foot) on Injured Reserve, ending his 2011 season. In a corresponding move, the team signed free-agent QB Kellen Clemens (Redskins). Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Fantasy Impact: And his season comes to an end - not a surprise considering the severity of the injury.

Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) will visit with a foot specialist Wednesday, Nov. 23, to get another look at the right foot injury that could end his season. 'He will make his trip to Charlotte tomorrow and he will be looked at Wednesday morning,' head coach Gary Kubiak said. 'We'll hold out hope on Matt ... He's in a boot. We're trying to keep him into what we're doing mentally.'

Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) said during a radio appearance Tuesday, Nov. 15, he hopes he can return this season from a foot injury, though he acknowledges 'it doesn't look good.' Schaub said he'll meet with more doctors over the next week. 'When you look at it, it's pretty colorful and everything,' Schaub said of his foot. 'It's pretty sore and beat up right now. But we're going to search out some other opinions and just do as much as we can to get it right here in the near future to see what can happen.' Head coach Gary Kubiak said the team will determine by next week if Schaub would return this season. If doctors tell him that surgery is necessary, Schaub said he'll 'probably' be out for the rest of the season.

Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) will miss the rest of the season because of a Lis franc injury in his foot.
Fantasy Impact: Matt Leinart takes over as starter and is worth a look in a good offense. He could surprise this go around but don't expect him to be anything more than a spot starter.

Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (foot) suffered a significant foot injury in Week 10 and will miss some playing time. Schaub will be wearing a walking boot this week and is scheduled to meet with a foot specialist in the next week. QB Matt Leinart will start in Week 11 in place of Schaub.
Fantasy Impact: Wow. Big loss for the Texans and fantasy teams. Schaub has been playing at a high level of late.
