SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #22
Overall: #37

Parker had back to back 100-yard games to start the season, but was derailed by a knee injury much of the rest of the season. He missed five games and had just two more 100-yard games the rest of the way. But he did have a 100-yard game in the playoffs and scored two touchdowns during the Steelers Super Bowl run. Parker failed to rush for 1,000 yards for the first time in three seasons. If there is a concern with Parker, it is his health, missing seven games the last four seasons. When healthy, he is an explosive back with top speed. He also has some power, making him hard to bring down in the open field.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Parker isn't a big TD back, which hurts his fantasy value. He has double-digit touchdowns just once in his career. But he'll post some pretty good total yardage numbers and get you six or so scores, which isn't terrible. Consider him a No. 2 back for your team, making him a third or fourth round pick come draft day.
Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said the bye week helped RB Willie Parker's toe, but Parker is not 100 percent and likely will not be for the rest of the season.
Fantasy Impact: This is good news for Rashard Mendenhall, who should continue to get the bulk of the work in the Steelers running game.

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (illness) did not practice Monday, Nov. 2.

John Harris, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (toe) said his toe is still swollen but is getting better. 'I'm starting to plant, cut and do all that stuff because it's starting to heal up. It's still swollen, but it's getting a lot better. This week is the best that it's been,' Parker said.
Fantasy Impact: Parker is not a good play this week against the Vikings top rush defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 16. He is listed as probable for Week 6.
Fantasy Impact: Parker should return, but the amount of work he gets is unknown. Go with safer options.

Mark Kaboly, for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (toe) is wearing shoes with extra protection to protect his injured toe during practice. He is not sure if he will be able to play in Week 6.
Fantasy Impact: We would avoid Parker this week. You just don't know how much he'll play if he is active for the game.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (toe) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Fantasy Impact: Parker seems to have a shot at returning this week, but we aren't sure his role at this time, making him an iffy fantasy play.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (toe) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 9, and has been ruled out for the team's Week 5 game.
Fantasy Impact: Rashard Mendenhall gets another start for the Steelers this week.

Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said RB Willie Parker (toe) will be the team's starter when he is healthy because at this point Parker is proven and RB Rashard Mendenhall has not proven himself yet. 'Willie Parker's a proven commodity. When Rashard is (proven), then we'll re-evaluate him. I hope it gets to that problem. I'd like to have those two healthy at the same time,' Arians said.
Fantasy Impact: We aren't sure we buy this, especially if Mendenhall has another big game this weekend. We'll see.
